Boney Kapoor, bollywood filmmaker and husband of actress late Sridevi, landed into trouble. A person named Praveen Shyam Sethi registered case against Bonnie Kapoor and two other alleging of defrauding crores of rupees on the pretext of having a celebrity cricket league. Details as below.
As per the details furnished by Praveen Shyam Sethi from Jagatpura, who has registered this case against Bonnie Kapoor and other two – Celebrity Cricket League Director Pawan Jangid approached him in 2018 and told that Celebrity Cricket League would be held in Jaipur and several Bollywood actors would be participating in that league. Pawan Jangid also said that Boney Kapoor and Mustafa Raj would be partners for this league. Pawan Jangid lured Praveen Shyam to invest money promising that it would be doubled after the league. He added, Bonnie Kapoor came to Jaipur in October 2018 and announced the holding of the Cricket League in December at a press conference. So Praveen invested Rs 67 lakhs and his friend invested another 32 lakhs.
However, the league did not happen and Pawan Jangid is refusing to payback the money as the league did not happen. Overall, as per the case filed, the total amount of fraud is for 2.5 crores. Police are investigating the whole case and they may get in touch with Boney Kapoor soon.
