Arun Jaitley’s remarks; sentiments cannot increase the quantum of funds, during a press meet raised political heat between TDP and BJP both at the Centre and the State. With the two TDP MPs resigning from the Central Cabinet further strained the ties between the two parties.
Chandrababu, who carries the name ‘Chanakya’, is surely planning a big surprise for the BJP. Speaking in the AP Assembly, CBN made a mention of Arjun Jaitley’s comments the other day.
‘Arun Jaitley said the other day that, sentiments cannot increase the quantum of funds. Then what about Telangana? Isn’t Telangana created as a result of sentiments of the people? ‘Should Andhra Pradesh suffer from poverty like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states?’ questioned Chandrababu Naidu.
He also stated, ‘the Centre should come forward and help in the development of Andhra Pradesh. Modi once said, ‘the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh reminded me the condition, where a mother is killed, after giving birth to a newborn’. Modi promised that he will help Andhra Pradesh. With BJP in power, it should fulfil all the promises made to AP’.
