Viswanath, who is populary known as Kalatapasvi, was yesterday conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award, India’s highest award in cinema. The announcement brought a lot of cheer to Tollywood and many big names congratulated Viswanath through social media.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who worked with Viswanath in Subhalekha, Swayam Krushi and Apadbandhavudu, met Viswanath at his residence to congratulate him for being awarded the prestigious honour. Chiranjeevi spent some quality time with the legendary filmmaker and had a nice conversation. Sources say that Chiranjeevi is very happy after hearing about the award and made necessary arrangements to meet him today.
Chiru said that the Dada Saheb Phalke Award gained more respect after being conferred to K. Viswanath.
