There are wide speculations that Shankar and Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 got shelved due to the differences between Shankar and Lyca Productions. Several gossip portals started speculating that Shankar refused to quote the budget after which Lyca Productions decided to walk out of the project. Some of them even declared that Lyca Productions lost a whopping amount of Rs 100 crores through 2.0 which released recently and this had an impact on Indian 2.
But as per the report from the official spokesperson of Lyca Productions, the project is very much on. The team of Lyca clarified that two massive schedules have been wrapped up recently and the set work for the next schedule is on. Indian 2 is shot in Gokulam Studios and Memorial Hall, Chennai. The next schedule will start soon and will continue without breaks revealed the source.
Kajal Agarwal is the heroine in Indian 2 and Anirudh is composing the music. The makers are in plans to release the film by the end of this year. Shankar is roping in several pan Indian actors for the film.
