Padmashri Kamal Haasan’s long delayed film Indian 2 completed all the shooting formalities finally. Shankar is completely busy with the post-production work of the project and the makers today announced that Indian 2 will hit the screens in June this year. The exact release date will be announced in May. Kamal Haasan completed the shoot and he is turning busy with the political campaign in Tamil Nadu. Indian 2 is made on a massive budget and the film also has Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh essaying other important roles.

Red Giant Movies joined hands with Lyca Productions to complete the filming. Anirudh is the music director of Indian 2. Ravi Varman handled the cinematography work. Indian 2 will have a release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Kamal Haasan and Shankar also completed the shoot of Indian 3 recently and the film will have a theatrical release next year. Shankar is also shooting for Ram Charan’s Game Changer. Kamal Haasan will resume the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life soon.

Kamal Haasan’s long-delayed film Indian 2 resumed shoot last year and Shankar managed to shoot for Indian 2 and Game Changer on a simultaneous note. After a long pause, the shoot of Indian 2 will resume next week. The team will shoot the film in various locations of Andhra Pradesh for two weeks. The schedule is locked and the locations are finalized in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The entire shoot of Indian 2 will be completed before the end of this year. Red Giant Films joined as producers along with Lyca Productions.

There is a lot of stake involved in Indian 2 and the film will release next year. Shankar and his team will announce the release date after the shoot concludes. Kajal Agarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakani, Priya Bhavani Shankar will be seen in other important roles. Anirudh is scoring the music for this action thriller. Kamal Haasan will complete the shoot of Indian 2 and he will join the sets of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life.

Indian 2 is the sequel of Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s Bharatheeyudu, which was released in 1996. As per reports, Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 has completed its shooting and currently is in the editing table. After finishing the editing work the runtime of the film was approximately five hours. With this, the producers made a decision to release the film in two parts.

But reportedly Kamal Haasan is not happy with the decision and feels that a sequel does not need to be in two parts. There is a strong ongoing rumor that Kamal Haasan himself started trimming the film by taking the responsibility of the editor to reduce the length of the film from 5 hours. Udhayanidhi Stalin and A Subaskaran are producing Indian2 under the Lyca Productions banner.

Kamal Haasan and Shankar resumed the shoot of Indian 2 and the film is expected to have its theatrical release this year. Around 35 days of the film’s shoot is left pending and Shankar is keen to wrap up the shoot at the earliest. The film’s cast and crew are heading to South Africa to shoot a high-voltage action stunt in the country for two weeks. A big action episode will be canned on a train in some of the best locales of South Africa.

A bunch of international stunt masters have designed the episode and the makers are spending a bomb for the episode. The action stunt would be one of the major highlights of Indian 2. The shoot will be completed by May and the team is eyeing a Diwali release. Indian 2 has Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal, Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh playing the lead roles.
