The Komati Reddy brothers are the most celebrated duo in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State politics. They belong to the Indian National Congress party. It is no secret that the Congress’ High Command in Delhi is the Centre of power. Be it a Press release, an election promise, or even an election campaigning schedule, everything needs the high command’s sanction.
It is the High Command that issues the party tickets to sitting MLAs and other key leaders. We have an exception in the form of Komatireddy brothers. They behave as if they are the kings of the party, and whatever they utter is the ultimatum. Even without the High Command’s consent, the Komatireddy brothers have already announced from where they would contest.
Former Minister, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is currently the sitting MLA from Nalgonda. The MLA has announced that he would contest for the Nalgonda MP seat in the upcoming 2019 Assembly elections. Similarly, his brother MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, also announced that he would contest for Bhuvanagiri MP Seat, while his wife will contest for Munugodu Assembly seat.
When questioned, whether Boddupalli Srinivas Reddy’s wife will contest as Nalgonda MLA, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has made no conclusive stations. Boddupalli Srinivas Reddy who was murdered by political opponents on January 24th, 2018 outside his residence.
