There have been rumors in last few days about actress Madhuri Dixit contesting on BJP ticket for Pune Lok Sabha. ( https://www.telugu360.com/bjp-fielding-madhuri-dixit-in-pune-lok-sabha-seat/). However her representative has denied all such claims, saying that they are false.
Earlier, there was a report that claimed that Madhuri’s name has been shortlisted for the Pune Lok Sabha seat. The reports also said that BJP leaders had are already discussed with Madhuri Dixit and her family members and tried to convince them. There were also news about BJP fielding more such candidates, who have ‘glamour’ to attract people, in upcoming elections. However, Madhuri’s spokesperson denied all these reports and called them baseless. “This news is false and speculative,” he told in a statement to media.
Madhuri, entered bollywood in 1984 and got immense fan following after her roles in filsm Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Dil, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Anjaam, Mrityudand, Pukar, Dil To Pagal Hai and Devdas. Telugu dubbed version of Hum Apke hain Kaun did extremely well in Andhra Pradesh too. But with the latest statement from her spokes person, it is clear that she is not interested to join politics, at least for now.
