Tollywood star Nagarjuna met with YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence and discussed for about 30 minutes. Nagarjuna refused to speak with the media after this meeting. So, there is no clarity on the agenda of this meeting. Party sources started the rumour that Nagarjuna is planning his political debut through YSRCP and is set to contest from Guntur constituency as YSRCP candidate. There is no official response from Nagarjuna on this matter.

Nagarjuna is in friendly relation with Jagan even from the times of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Along with his good friend Matrix Prasad, Nagarjuna did various business investments while YS is Chief Minister. When Jagan was in Chanchalguda Jail, Nagarjuna went there to meet him. For every election in Andhra Pradesh, Nagarjuna Fans Association President Ramaraju actively participates in the campaign in support of YSRCP saying this is the wish of Nagarjuna. During Nandyal by election times and Kakinada Corporation elections, Ramaraju made a significant commotion. Sources say, “Nagarjuna knows about Ramaraju’s stunts and he approved it. Otherwise, he would have definitely commented on it.”

Up until now, Nagarjuna never showed any interest in joining politics and never responded positively when asked about his political entry. Closer circle of Nagarjuna, who knows about his lifestyle does not think Nagarjuna will enter politics.

But sources say that Jagan feels to defeat Galla Jayadev in Guntur Parliament seat, a star like Nagarjuna is quite necessary and so, Jagan is putting pressure on Nagarjuna. In general, any information on the meetings of YS Jagan is outed to the supporting media channels by Lotus Pond people. They say that if this meeting with Nagarjuna is made public, it is because Jagan feels that this news increases pressure on Nagarjuna. It is interesting to wait and see on what decision Nagarjuna will make……
