For creating stylised films like Kantri, Billa and Shadow that tumbled at the box office, thereby burning the pockets of producers big time. From a time, he is hanging around Mahesh Babu all the time, giving food for rumour mongers that he will direct a film anytime soon with him.
Piece of news is coming that actually, Meher is trying to make a comeback through web series rather a film. Already Mahesh’s wife Namrata has locked couple of web series scripts and they are looking for right partner (OTT app that buys the content) to go ahead into production. One such script is pitched by Taxiwala fame Rahul Sankrityan, but the director has backed off after everything got ready it seems.
Featuring Jagapathi Babu in the lead, this web series deals with the affairs and stories of a cash-rich lawyer who happens to be a big womanizer. If all goes well, then Meher Ramesh will take the direction reigns to deliver the needful. But this is one of those many projects that got the Billa director’s name associated with and earlier none of them have worked.
