Legendary actor Mohan Lal’s recent release Oppam became a decent hit in Malayalam and also bagged appreciation from audience and critics alike. A crime thriller which has Mohan Lal playing a blind man, Oppam is an intriguing tale that revolves around a murder mystery which unravels towards the end after a series of thrilling events.
The Telugu rights of the film were bagged by a noted production house and they have approached Nagarjuna to reprise Mohan Lal’s role. It is learnt that the Oopiri actor has watched the film and impressed with the sensible narration. Though he yet to give the nod, the production house is confident on getting Nagarjuna on board.
A source in the known revealed that Nagarjuna, who did experimental films like Gaganam and Oopiri, fits the bill perfectly for the lead character in Oppam and this is the reason he has been approached. The source added that he will take a call soon. Nagarjuna is currently busy shooting for Om Namo Venkateshaya in Raghavendra Rao direction.
