NTR biopic is one of the highly anticipated films this season. The craze on the film among audience and trade circles is increasing with each passing day.
Meanwhile, it is reliably learnt that the producers are quoting unrealistic,exorbitant prices for all areas. Even further, the attitude of one of the Producers is hurting distributors and business partners.
In one instance, an overseas distributor gave a fancy offer of 17 Crs for both parts of the Biopic. Mr. MRV Prasad who is dealing the business quoted 20 Crs, and when the said distributor tried to negotiate by explaining the realities of Overseas market, Prasad told “Naa rate final. Paisa kooda tagginchanu. Teesukunte teesukondi lekapothe ledu”
In another instance, the producer exhibited similar behavior when dealing with executives from a digital streaming services company. Sources revealed that Producer quoted around 35 Crores for the digital rights. Executives from digital streaming firm scheduled for an inperson meeting in Hyderabad in which the director also participated. Producer was reportedly walked out of the meeting with the digital media as he was unhappy with the 21 Crores offer made by them. He wasn’t even willing to listen to the justification pointers from other party.
The producer has to realize that there are very few distributors who have big pockets to buy at the rates he is quoting and with this kind of rude behavior he is closing doors on them
