While continuing its dream run across the Telugu states and overseas, Tollywood’s latest sensational hit Pelli Choopulu is receiving huge acclaim from all avenues. After impressing many big names from South Indian filmdom, the sleeper hit is now getting plaudits from the political spectrum as well. The latest one to join the longlist of Pelli Choopulu admirers is none other than Telangana’s IT Minister KT Rama Rao.
The makers of Pelli Choopulu arranged a special screening to KTR, who had some good words about the film after watching it yesterday evening. Reportedly, KTR was thoroughly impressed with Pelli Choopulu and praised the whole team to the core. KTR also took to Twitter to congratulated the team and said that Pelli Choopulu breaks new ground without being preachy.
Needless to say, the whole team is buoyed with KTR’s compliments. In the meantime, the film is inching towards a sensational milestone in overseas. So far, it has collected $ 960K and is likely to touch the prestigious $ 1 Million mark very soon. Directed by debutante Tharun Bhascker, Pelli Choopulu has Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma as the lead pair. Raj Kandukuri produced the film on a shoestring budget.
