In the wake of Telangana elections, Congress high-command revamped some positions in Pradesh Congress Committee. Revanth Reddy, who quit TDP and joined Congress, got position as Congress working president. Along with Revanth Reddy, Ponnam Prabakar also will be working president.
Congress party formed 9 supplementary committees and a coordination committee with 53 members. Khuntia appointed chairman of the Coordination Committee and Uttam Kumar Reddy will be convenor. Congress leaders Mallu Bhattavikramaka, Damodar Raja Narasimha, V Hanumantha Rao, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, also got positions in various committees.
Ponnala Lakshmaiah was the first president of Telangana Pradesh congress committee after Telangana formed in 2014. Later the Congress high command made Uttam Kumar Reddy as new Telangana PCC Chief. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has been Congress working president. Current revamping of committee is done keeping in mind upcoming elections and so many committee have been formed and almost all important leaders get a chance to be in one committee or other. However, Revanth Reddy getting congress working president post might have surprised some Congress men who have been in party for several years. We will have to wait and see how they receive his appointment.
