Tollywood’s sensible director Sekhar Kammula is back with Kubera and this is his 25th year in the film industry. With Kubera, Sekhar Kammula took up action track and the film is a drama packed with action. Dhanush and Nagarjuna played the lead roles and the film released on Friday. The film opened on a decent note and Kubera picked up by Friday evening. The film had an exceptional Saturday across the Telugu states and overseas. The biggest shock is that Kubera under-performed in Tamil Nadu.

Right from the opening numbers to the Saturday numbers, the film did not witness great numbers. The word of mouth for Kubera is extremely positive in Tamil Nadu but the numbers are not satisfying. Kubera has to take a huge leap on Sunday and on weekdays to emerge as a hit. Dhanush enjoys huge craze in Tamil but his film posted big numbers in Telugu. The contribution for the Telugu version of Kubera is much higher than Tamil. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine and Devi Sri Prasad scored the music for Kubera.
