Victory Venkatesh and his brother Suresh Babu have been extremely impressed with the recent Bollywood blockbuster De De Pyar De. Suresh Babu acquired the remake rights of the film and the pre-production work of the film is on. As per the latest news, young and talented director Sriwass is in talks to direct this remake. Sriwass last directed Saakshyam starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas and he is yet to sign his next project.
An official announcement would be made once things get final. Tabu is expected to reprise her role and the other female lead will be picked up. The regular shoot of the remake will start next year and Suresh Productions will bankroll this comic entertainer. Venkatesh is busy with Venky Mama, a multi-starrer that features Naga Chaitanya in the other lead role. The film releases for Dasara this year.
