In a shocking incident,a Telugu Student named Sankeerth, a native of Hyderabad, was stabbed to death in Austin,TX. The suspected murderer , who is another Telugu origin Student Sai Sandeep Goud , was arrested by Police. On Monday, July 18, 2016 at 3:13 a.m., Austin Police Officers responded to a disturbance at the Colonial Village at Quarry Oaks apartment complex. Upon arrival, officers encountered two men attempting to load a male victim into a car. It appeared the male victim suffered from a stab wound to his abdomen. Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived and transported the male to Round Rock Hospital where he later died. According to the reports from India, victim is 25- year old Sankeerth who is from Hyderabad,India and residing in USA for past two years.
The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Sai Sandeep Goud Kurremula, Asian male. He has been booked into Travis County Jail for Murder – 1st Degree Felony.
An autopsy by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office is pending.
