Low budget film Brochevarevarura emerged as a good hit at the US box office. Rajasekhar’s Kalki, which created strong buzz with interesting trailers, failed to make an impact in the first weekend.
Sree Vishnu and Nivedha Thomas starrer Brochevarevarura received decent reviews and collected close to $ 230k in the first weekend and trade circles have already termed it as a profitable venture for all buyers. The film started off slowly with $ 25K from premiers and showed good growth towards the weekend with $56K and $ 93K on Friday and Saturday respectively. With Sunday’s $52K , the crime comedy surpassed the $ 200k mark and ended weekend on a promising note.
Rajasekhar’s Kalki couldn’t find traction with overseas audience due to the lackluster narration and poor performances. The film collected a paltry $1.8K from its premiers. Due to the poor word of mouth and below par reviews, the collections hardly improved in the weekend and it ended with a meagre $ 28K by the completion of Sunday.
Recent release Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya has surpassed the quarter million mark by the end of second weekend and emerged as a decent hit in overseas. After a good first weekend, the humorous detective thriller collected so-so numbers in the second weekend and took the tally to $ 256K.
