It is known news that, on Saturday bollywood actress Anushka Sharma scolded a person for throwing garbage on the streets from his luxury car. The whole incident was recorded by Virat Kohli, Anushka’s husband. Video viral on social media. But surprisingly this “preaching” backfired on the couple as twitterati supported the man at receiving end and many netizens started questioning Virushka (Virat-Anushka) couple’s intentions.
The incident: After seeing someone throwing garbage from luxury car onto streets, Anushka-Virat stopped their car and asked that man – “Why are you throwing garbage on the road, you cannot just throw plastic on the streets just like that”.
Virat recorded all this and posted it on social media. Virat Kohli captioned the video – “Saw these people throwing garbage on the road and pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains went for a toss. Will these people keep our country clean? Yeah right!!! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same and spread awareness.” He added, lot of people who don’t have the courage to do something like this find it funny. Everything for people nowadays is meme content. Shame.
Reply from the man and his family: The man at the receiving end of all of this – Arhan singh, hit back at Virat-Anushka couple. He apologized for throwing garbage on roads, but he condemned the couple’s impolite behavior towards him.
He posted – “i have no desire to gain any mileage from this post of mine… Horrible! So I happened to carelessly Litter an sq mm of plastic while driving! A car passing by rolls their window down and there we have our wonderful @anushkasharma ranting and yelling like a crazy roadside person! While I’m apologetic for my carelessness, Mrs Anushka Sharma Kohli a little etiquette and politeness in ur dialogue wouldn’t have made u a lesser star !! There are all kinds of manners and hygiene ..verbal etiquette is one of them!
He added, “The garbage that mistakenly went out of the window of my “luxury car”… Was way less then the garbage that came out from your mouth… From ur “luxury car’s” window… Or the trashy mind @virat.kohli to shoot and post this online… For whatever gains… Now thats some serious trash!!!”.
Arhan’s mother Gitanjali also came to his defense on social media. She called out the actress for her “cheap publicity stunt”.
Netizens question Virushka: Meanwhile, twitterati continue to criticize Virushka couple for their preaching to a random guy and posting it on social media and breaching his privacy.
Netizens asked – “Why are you recording your wife’s heroics and publishing it in social media??.. is this the first time you saw someone threw a plastic cover from a car?? If your intention was to advice him, first be friendly instead of being bossy.. this kinda attention seeking is so cheap”.
Some others commented – “Ask her (Anushka) to wear seat belt or accept that this was all planned. Shame on targeting a random guy for your campaign and publicity”.
Celebrity couple has to understand – privacy of common man is also as important as cleanliness in the country.
