It is very common in industry to compare movies of same genre and debating which one is or which one will be better. When “Indra” movie was about to release, people were debating how would be Chiranjeevi doing compared to Samara Simha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu. Main reason was both are faction movies and both the heroes have similar mass following. Now, similar debate happened with Mahesh’s Bharath Anu Nenu (BAN) and Shekhar’s Leader movie.
Recently released #SSMB FIRST OATH (one minute audio clip) presents the oath taking ceremony of Bharat ( Mahesh Babu) who swears in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh . So, with Mahesh Babu confirming the movie will be a political thriller, he portraying CM role, comparison with Leader movie started and people started replying to Mahesh Babu’s old tweet of 2010 about Leader movie. In that tweet, he mentioned, –
We have very less movies in which hero plays Chief minister role in Telugu. In Muthamesthri movie, Chiranjeevi played role of minister but not CM. So anyway comparison will be there between the two movies (Leader and BAN) in which heroes played CM roles. However comparison may just end there. Mainly because the taking of these directors is completely different. Moreover, while Leader has a debutante as hero, BAN has a super star donning the CM role. Shekhar focused more on emotions, while Koratala is expected to capture mass elements that can give goosebumps in a political thriller-action movie.
Anyway, we will have to wait and see, how BAN will be and which movie will be better (not in terms of openings or collections, but in terms of content) in comparison.
