Kingdom has been a huge relief for Vijay Deverakonda who has been struggling with debacles. After a decent weekend, the film’s numbers dropped drastically and it will end up as a below average to an average film at the box-office. Kingdom is a cost failure for the film’s producer S Naga Vamsi. The production house has spent lavishly on the film and the technical aspects, production values are widely appreciated. Before the release of Kingdom, the team announced that the film will have a sequel.
The film’s director Gowtam Tinnanuri said that he would work on the script of the sequel and he would commence the shoot of Kingdom 2 after Vijay Deverakonda completes his current projects. Except a minor relief with the openings, Kingdom has done nothing for Vijay Deverakonda as an actor. Now the question arises if the sequel will happen or if it would end up as an idea in the writing books of Gowtam Tinnanuri. Vijay Deverakonda has several films lined up and he may not choose Kingdom 2 after witnessing the box-office performance of the first part.
