Writer-director-actor K Bhagyaraj announced that he will join politics soon. While ruling ADMK party is losing people’s confidence day by day, DMK is hoping they would be able to cash on anti incumbency. Meanwhile people from film industry are welcoming Rajni into politics. Though many are preferring DMK or Rajni’s party, Bhagyaraj is going to join ADMK party. He gave a statement in this regard as below –
“There is a chance I’d enter politics and join ADMK. MGR started the party but right now it is in turmoil. As a devotee, I will try my best to do whatever I can and there is a good chance for me to take the plunge.”
It has to be noted here, this is not first time Bhagyaraj joining politics. In 1989 itself he launched a party. MGR Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (meaning, MGR Popular Progressive Federation) was a political party launched by Bhagyaraj in February 1989. MGR MMK contested the 1991 Kerala assembly elections. It had one candidate, who got 87 votes. The MGR MMK proved to be a flop. So he focused o movies later. Now she wants to become active again and resurrect falling ADMK party.
