Several Tollywood celebrities, actors and influencers have been served notices by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for promoting betting apps. All these celebrities have been asked to attend before the organization for the investigation. Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda who is busy with his recent release Kingdom has now attended for the investigation today. After completing the investigation, Vijay Deverakonda responded for the first time about his involvement in the betting apps and the investigation.
“Gaming apps and illegal betting apps are completely different and one should not be confused about this. All the apps I was endorsing are completely legal and they are licensed by the government. I was not involved in anything illegal” told Vijay Deverakonda. An FIR was filed on 25 celebrities in March this year in Hyderabad. While some of them attended for the investigation, several others are expected to appear soon. Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi, Praneetha, Nidhi Agarwal and others were served notices.
