YCP founder YS Jaganmohan Reddy used Special Status slogan to corner and upset TDP in 2019 elections. After becoming Chief Minister, Jagan continued to make repeated requests for the Status in front of Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah. He did this despite the BJP leaders clarifying repeatedly that AP Special Status is a closed chapter. Still, YCP leaders are raising the Status issue again and again. Strategically, TDP has stopped raising this demand and becoming closer to BJP.
For sure, Jagan and his party are facing a bitter truth now. When Kashmir itself lost Special Status, will it be possible for AP to get it despite some empty promises made at the time of reorganisation? Can YCP continue its policy to demand Special Status any more? Jagan indeed made a strategic blunder by committing himself to the Status at every forum.
Nation has seen how the Modi-Shah duo carried out a surgical strike on Kashmir Special Status by scrapping Article 370. This triggered speculation that Modi took such a historic step concerning Kashmir and his approach to AP Special Status would be equally negative. BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao is now referring to Kashmir operation to all those Andhra forces which are asking for Special Status.
The Congress leaders called the Kashmir action a murder of democracy. But the BJP leaders hit back saying that the Congress played a foul game at the time of separating Andhra and Telangana. This is the atmosphere prevailing at the Centre. Will Jagan continue to plead and request PM with all humility for Special Status any more? Analysts say that YCP or TDP or any other Andhra party should take a lesson from Kashmir experience and better ask for special funds in place of Special Status. Just like, Chandrababu accepted Special Package during his regime.
When CBN agreed for special funds, arun jaitley refused it right away. Meanwhile, amit Shah started provoking jagan to ask for special status in order to trap CBN. CBN had no option but ask for special status again as he was not getting the funds as promised and also had to counter jagan on special status. now, AP is trapped between centre and Bay of Bengal. How far will this country be United with such cheating politicians especially at the central level, irrespective of what they do in Kashmir or how tall statues they build. Ground level intentions and actions in such a huge diverse country is more important than any boasting or symbolism.
Jagan is facing this at his own peril – nothing to talk about in 2+ months power; hopeless governance, economy is in ruins, salaries and pensions are delayed though the reasons have been cited technical!!; not adequate preventive measures taken in anticipation of flood situation in Godavari, continue to blame prev govt. even for rescue and relief operations, everyday there is an issue on the roads – be it hygiene, infrastructure dev or economy with no policy hope; it is miserable governance
నెల్లూరు జిల్లాకి చెందిన ఒక యువ బీసీ వైసీపీ నాయకుడికి అగ్రెసివ్ పాలిటిక్స్ చేస్తాడని పేరుంది. రెండేళ్ళ క్రితం ప్రతిపక్షంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు ఆయనకి, అప్పుడు అధికారపక్షంలో ఉన్న ఆనం వివేకానంద రెడ్డికి మధ్య ఏదో వివాదం చెలరేగింది. ఆ గొడవలో రెచ్చిపోయిన యువ నాయకుడు ” ఒళ్ళు దగ్గర పెట్టుకోపోతే నెల్లూరులో రెడ్లని ఇళ్ళల్లోంచి బయటికి లాగి పెళ్ళాల ముందే కొడతాం” అని బహిరంగంగా హుంకరించాడంట. అప్పట్లో ఆ వీడియోలు మీడియోలో, సోషల్ మీడియాలో బాగా వైరల్ అయ్యాయి. తమ కులాన్ని తిడుతున్నాడని వైసీపీలో ఉన్న రెడ్డి నాయకులందరికీ అప్పట్లో కోపం వచ్చినా రాజకీయావసరాల కోసం మౌనం వహించారట.
అప్పటినుండి అదను కోసం ఎదురు చూస్తున్న రెడ్డి వర్గం, ఈ యువనాయకుడు మంత్రి కాగానే వెళ్ళి తమ అధినేత దగ్గర ఫిర్యాదు చేశారట. రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ఆర్ధికబలం, అంగబలం ఉన్న మనవాళ్ళని, అదీ నెల్లూరులో ఇళ్ళల్లోంచి లాగి కొడతా అన్న వ్యక్తికి మంత్రి పదవేంటి అని తమ నిరసన వ్యక్తం చేస్తే అధినేత సరైన సమయంలో కీలెరిగి వాత పెడదాం అని సముదాయించి పంపాడంట. ఇక అప్పటినుండి అనంతపురం జిల్లాకి చెందిన ఒక యువ రెడ్డి ఎమ్మెల్యేని అదే శాఖకి షాడో మంత్రిగా నియమించి యువమంత్రికి చెక్ పెడ్తున్నారని, డమ్మీ మంత్రిగా మార్చేసి పొగ పెడ్తున్నారని, కీలక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకునేప్పుడు ఆ యువమంత్రిని అసలు పరిగణనలోకి కూడా తీసుకోవడం లేదని వైసీపీలో ద్వితీయశ్రేణి బిసి నాయకులంతా వాపోతున్నారట. ఈ రోజు అధినేత ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనకి యువమంత్రిని తీసుకెళ్ళకుండా కరివేపాకులా తీసిపారేయడాన్ని దీనికి ఒక ఉదాహరణగా చూపిస్తున్నారు. నెల్లూరు రెడ్డి రాజకీయమా మజాకానా అని విస్తుపోతున్నారు. రానున్న రోజుల్లో ఈ వివాదం ఎన్ని మలుపులు తిరుగుతుందో చూడాలి మరి !
