It had been widely reported earlier about how Sudeep and Kajal Aggarwal are set to play very key roles in Krishna Vamsi’s upcoming film Nakshatram, starring Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra in the lead.
Well, in a twist of fate, that couldn’t happen and both of them opted out. The director has opeted for some interesting replacements. While Sai Dharam Tej was roped in recently for the role of a powerful cop, the latest news is that Pragya Jaiswal has been signed for the film and she will be seen in a badass avatar. While she begins shooting immediately, the action blocks will be shot later in an elaborate second schedule.
“The rainbow of ” Nakshatram ” will glow vibrantly with the inclusion of beautiful and gorgeous star Pragya Jaiswal of the classic #KANCHE (what a movie-I could not believe it is a Telugu film). She will play a dazzling diva and a chivalrous cop role opposite Sai Dharam Tej in our movie. Looking forward to capture her in sparkling frames of #NAKSHATRAM. Importantly, can’t wait to execute two challenging fight sequences which are specially designed for her. Interestingly, one of the fights is with our hero Sundeep Kishan. (sic),” wrote director Krishna Vamsi revealing about her role in the film.
The Murari director was apparently impressed by Pragya’s act in Kanche and couldn’t think of anyone else when Kajal couldn’t sign the film. As for Pragya, this is a much needed break and one hopes this film will take her into another league altogether. She begins shooting tomorrow. As she is already trained in karate and is a black belt holder too, this one should not be difficult. What say?
