Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, BJP leader sprang surprise by convening sudden meeting with Cadre and it spurred a speculation of him leaving BJP party. Background of this is, BJP high command almost finalized Somu Veerraju’s name as AP BJP chief.
Kanna was congress leader for several years until 2014 and post bifurcation, like many other Congress leaders, he left Congress to join national party BJP. As per the reports then, he was assured of good position in the party in future. Couple of days back too when BJP high command Amit Shah announced AP chief post will go to Kapu caste, Kanna still had hopes of getting the coveted post, though media was betting on Somu Veerraju and Manikala Rao.
Now it seems Kanna got convinced that he is not getting the post and he suddenly convened meeting with cadre today to decide on future plans. We will have to wait and see what he decides – whether to continue in BJP or to leave BJP.
