Construction activity in Amaravati is moving at full speed despite continuous rains across Andhra Pradesh. The state government has made it clear that there will be no slowdown in the capital city works. Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh recently shared a strong video message on social media highlighting the rapid progress of Amaravati projects.
The video was aimed at critics who frequently claim that Amaravati gets flooded whenever it rains. Lokesh responded with sarcasm and confidence. He said the capital city is unstoppable and mocked those spreading negative campaigns online. According to him, the purpose of the video was to show that not a single major project had stopped because of the rains.
Several key projects are currently under active construction in Amaravati. These include the Assembly building, High Court complex, Iconic Towers, major roads, reservoirs, MLA and MLC towers, AIS towers, CGO and NGO towers, HappyNest housing project and ministerial bungalows. The visuals shared by Lokesh showed workers and heavy machinery operating across multiple construction sites without interruption.
The minister’s message quickly gained attention on social media. Supporters of the coalition government praised the speed of development and described Amaravati as the future growth engine of Andhra Pradesh. The government also used the opportunity to reinforce Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for building a world-class capital city.
After years of uncertainty, Amaravati is once again witnessing large-scale activity. The government believes the renewed pace of construction reflects its commitment to rebuilding the capital and restoring confidence among the people of Andhra Pradesh.
