In this interview, he explained that he took up the project of ‘Ashok’ in 2006 for emotional reasons. He revealed that NTR’s manager Sukumar emotionally blackmailed him to do the film when he had plans to work with Prabhas. ‘Ashok’ that starred NTR and Sameera Reddy was a flop.
He also refused to term Prabhas’s ‘Saaho’ as a flop as the film made Rs 150 crore in Hindi. Surender Reddy has plans to his next movie with Prabhas and he is praising the ‘Saaho’ star. But NTR’s fans are attacking him for saying that he did ‘Ashok’ for the emotional blackmailing.
“In your earlier interviews, you said you wanted to direct Atanokkade with NTR. Even after giving a flop with ‘Ashok’, NTR gave you the chance to direct him in ‘Oosaravelli’, You have given only flops to NTR. Such a thankless person you are,” NTR’s fans are attacking with these comments.
