Surendar Reddy is one of the stylish directors of Telugu cinema. He delivered big hits and huge flops too. There is a strong talk that Surendar Reddy never had a financial control on his projects. Agent is a huge misfire. The initial budget was Rs 40 crores and the final one mounted on to Rs 80 crores. Surendar Reddy joined the film as a working partner and wanted to share the profits. He soon took a U-Turn and pocketed Rs 11 crores as his fee for the film. Lack of bound script mounted up the budgets.

The entire film industry is aware that the shoot went on till April third week, days before the film’s release. Surendar Reddy was not much interested to release the film on April 28th and he wanted a month more. The makers were not ready and they mounted pressure on Surendar Reddy.

Surendar Reddy is also badly trolled for his work. There are talks that Anil Sunkara will lose close to Rs 40 crores for Agent. Surendar Reddy will have a tough time as no top actor will risk working with him. With so many complaints on him, even the mid-range and notable actors may not work with him soon. Surendar Reddy will have to work on a solid script before taking a call on his next. There are reports that Surendar Reddy met Allu Arjun but the project too may not happen as Allu Arjun is quite cautious about his upcoming projects. He will be working with directors like Trivikram and Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the coming days.

Hope Surendar Reddy will work on a solid script and make a strong comeback.

After Bheemla Nayak, Pawan signed the remake of Vinodhaya Sitam and the shoot commences in April. He will also resume the shoot of Krish’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu and the shooting portions will be completed soon. Pawan lined up films with Harish Shankar, Sujeeth. Both these projects will start rolling next year.

Syeraa fame Surendar Reddy has been holding talks with Pawan Kalyan from some time and he is said to have locked a commercial entertainer for Pawan Kalyan. Surendar Reddy worked with Vakkantham Vamsi for several projects and the duo developed an interesting script.

Vakkantham Vamsi penned the story and Surendar Reddy along with Vamsi developed the complete script recently. Ram Talluri’s SRT Entertainments will produce the film which will start rolling in 2022 once Pawan Kalyan is done with his current commitments. Pawan Kalyan will complete Vakeel Saab and will move to Krish’s film after which he will work with Harish Shankar. Surendar Reddy in this while will complete Akhil’s project that will roll next year.

Director Surender Reddy’s efforts to launch his next film with Prabhas have hit a roadblock. Prabhas is eager to collaborate with Surender Reddy but he wants bound script before taking a final call. Prabhas doesn’t want to sign films with vague storylines. Everything should be on paper before hitting the floor.

Surender Reddy is now working on his team of writers to finish a bound script in two or three months, or Prabhas may give nod to another director. If Prabhas takes up another film with another director, Surender Reddy will only get a chance in 2021.

Meanwhile, Surender Reddy is also preparing a script for an action movie with Varun Tej. This will be produced by Surender Reddy in association with Krish’s banner First Frame Entertainments. Will he take up this Varun Tej’s film first or Prabhas’s? We have to wait and see.

“In your earlier interviews, you said you wanted to direct Atanokkade with NTR. Even after giving a flop with ‘Ashok’, NTR gave you the chance to direct him in ‘Oosaravelli’, You have given only flops to NTR. Such a thankless person you are,” NTR’s fans are attacking with these comments.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s prestigious film and his dream project Syeraa landed into a legal tussle after the family members of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy filed a petition regarding the promised compensation for acquiring the rights. Doravari Dastagiri Reddy, the fourth-generation heir of Uyyalavada filed this petition. The case came for hearing today in the Telangana High Court and the film’s director Surender Reddy was present.

In a surprising move, Surender Reddy claimed that Syeraa is not a biopic of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. This turned out to be a huge shock for everyone. The censor board officials clarified that they haven’t issued any censor certificate for the film. The further hearing regarding the case will take place on Monday. There seemed to have some crazy arguments taken place today in Telangana High Court.

Doravari Dastagiri Reddy says that Ram Charan promised a decent amount for taking the life story of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy but he failed to keep his promise.
