PV Sindhu has been recommended for the prestigious Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award (top 2 being Bharata Ratna and Padma Vibhushan), for her contribution to the game. The Sports Ministry has recommended this Indian badminton star for the prestigious Padma Bhushan award today.
Sindhu has been doing great in her career recently. She became World Championships silver medalist and also the first Indian shuttler to lift Korea Open Super Series title. She is currently at world number four position. She had also won the China Super Series Premier last year and clinched the India Super Series and Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold this season.
Also nominated for Padma Bhushan this year is MS Dhoni. BCCI has nominated him for this most coveted award.
