With Soggade Chinni Nayana, Akkineni Nagarjuna introduced a new talent to Tollywood in the form of Kalyan Krishna, who impressed audience and critics alike with his directional skills. On many occasions after his impressive debut, Kalyan Krishna heaped praises on Nagarjuna for encouraging him and also said that the star hero is his godfather. Even Kalyan’s second film also came from Annapurna Studios banner in the form of Chaitu’s Ra Randoi Veduka Choodam.
Both Nagarjuna and Kalyan Krishna were supposed to reunite again for a film which is weaved around the Banggaraju character in Soggade Chinni Nayana. However, things didn’t fall in place and the project was put on the back burner. Later, Kalyan came up with a multi-starrer script that was supposed to feature Naga Chaitanya and Venkatesh in a family drama. Unfortunately, the project was put on hold due to unknown reasons. Sources revealed that it was Nagarjuna who told to defer the project and suggested Kalyan to work on a different one.
After working on a new script for a couple of months, Kalyan Krishna finally decided to work with Ravi Teja and got the nod. The talented director thanked Nagarjuna via his social media blogger before officially confirming the project. Everyone is little surprised on why Kalyan thanked Nagarjuna when he is working with Ravi Teja.
The reason is Kalyan Krishna treats Nagarjuna as his mentor and respects his suggestions very much. As it is Nagarjuna who anchored his career showing him the right path, the director wanted to thank Nagarjuna before making a formal announcement about his next project.
