A while ago, Telugu360 reported that either Karan Johar or Anil Thadani may acquire the Hindi theatrical rights of Syeraa that features Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Here we are with the update and the deal got sealed. Anil Thadani acquired the Hindi theatrical rights and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainments will market the film across the circles of Bollywood. They similarly acquired the Hindi theatrical rights of Kannada blockbuster KGF that released last year.
Syeraa which is made on a huge budget of Rs 200 crores is hitting the screens on October 2nd in all the South Indian languages along with Hindi. The makers were left puzzled about the Hindi version as they did not receive any lucrative deals. But with a lot of stake involved, Charan and his team wanted a wide release for the film in Hindi. Directed by Surendar Reddy, Syeraa is the life story of freedom fighter Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. Nayanthara is the female lead and Amitabh Bachchan has a crucial role assigned.
