Gang has ended up it’s run in Telugu States with a distributor of over 7.20 Cr. The collections are less than the hero’s last release Singam3 which had collected more than 10cr share. The film at best can be termed as an AVERAGE considering own release. Suriya’s is yet to score a Hit in Telugu since Yamudu.

Gang continued with the same trend as 1st week on weekend as it has steady collections but at low levels. It has added up another 1cr over the weekend taking total to an approx 6.90 Cr. Though these numbers are low for a suriya starer, considering clash and own release it can be termed as “AVERAGE” at best.

After SPYder, Sankranthi biggie to promote anti- smoking/drinking

Anti-smoking and anti-drinking disclaimers have become a part and parcel of every film in India. It is a rarity these days to find movies without featuring scenes with these harmful habits. The disclaimer advertisements are usually played at the start and during the intermission of all films. Mahesh Babu’s SPYder was the most recent film which didn’t feature these ads because there was no single scene in the film involving drinking or smoking.

Now, Suriya’s upcoming film Gang, which has been titled as Thaana Serndha Kootam in Tamil, has taken the anti-smoking and anti-drinking stance. Speaking to the media ahead of the film’s grand release, Suriya revealed that there will be no smoking and drinking disclaimers before the film as it isn’t necessary.

Starring Keerthi Suresh and Ramya Krishna in important roles, the film is directed by Vignesh Sivan and is set to square up with Telugu films at the Tollywood box office this Sankranthi.

Tollywood is heading for the biggest filmy season 2018. With number of films announced for release during the season, most of them will not hit the screens. Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Jai Simha are all set, here is the list of films hitting the screens during the festival season:

Agnyaathavaasi: Powerstar Pawan Kalyan for the third time is teaming up with Trivikram Srinivas for an emotional action entertainer. Titled Agnyaathavaasi, the film has been carrying huge buzz and is announced for January 10th 2018 release. Bankrolled by Haarika and Hassine Creations, Agnyaathavaasi is all set for the biggest ever release among Pawan Kalyan’s films.

Jai Simha: Nandamuri Balakrishna is testing his luck with a mass entertainer Jai Simha which is directed by KS Ravikumar. The trailer which has been out recently has been trending all over. Nayanathara is the heroine and Natasha Doshi, Hari Priya played other crucial roles. Produced by C Kalyan, Jai Simha has been announced for January 12th release.

Gang: Suriya is all set for the release of his next film titled Thaana Serndha Koottam which has been directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film has been titled Gang in Telugu and Keerthy Suresh is the female lead. The film has been aimed for January 13th 2018 release and UV Creations is distributing the film across the Telugu states

Rangularatnam: Young actor Raj Tarun is testing his luck with his next film titled Rangularatnam. King Nagarjuna produced this romantic entertainer on Annapurna Studios banner. The makers locked January 14th 2018 as the release date and Raj Tarun will compete with all the star actors during the season. Nag will kick-start the promotions from next week.

Suriya’s next titled as Gang

Talented Tamil actor Suriya carries good fan base and market in Telugu states. His upcoming film Thaana Serndha Kootam, directed by Vignesh Sivan, is going to have a grand release in Telugu on January 12th as Sankranthi treat.

As exclusively reported by Telugu360 in the last week, the Telugu rights of this film have been bagged by UV Creations in exchange to the Tamil rights deal for Anushka’s Bhaagamathie with Studio Green Banner. We have already stated the film has been titled as Gang in Telugu.

Confirming the same, UV Creations has officially released the first look poster of Gang. The colorful poster features Suriya in an enthusiastic mood with a bunch of dancers in the background.

The film stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.

Talented Tamil actor Suriya has been busy with his next project Thaana Serndha Kootam which is a mass entertainer. Vignesh Shivan is the director and the entire shoot of the film is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this month. Keerthy Suresh is the female lead and Karthik, Ramya Krishna, RJ Balaji played other crucial roles in the movie. The makers are keen on releasing the film during Sankranthi next year.

The Telugu version of the movie has been titled Gang and UV Creations will release the Telugu version of the film. The singles that have been released recently in Tamil received exceptional response from the audience. Anirudh is the music composer and KE Gnanavelraja is the producer. Thaana Serndha Kootam and Gang are slated for January 12th release in Telugu and Tamil.
