    Kollywood actor confirms signing Saaho

    Prabhas’ multilingual action drama Saaho, which has Sujeeth at the helm, is being made on a grand scale with around 150 Crores budget. The film boasts an ensemble cast in the form of Shraddha Das, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff etc.

    As reported earlier, Kollywood actor Arun Vijay has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. Confirming the same, Arun Vijay announced that he is a part of this mega project and shared his excitement on sharing screen space with Prabhas. Arun Vijay was previously seen in a negative role in Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee.

    The regular shooting of Saaho is currently underway in Hyderabad. The makers are planning to release the film in the second half of 2018. Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy are scoring the soundtrack for the film.

    Netflix recently acquired the streaming rights of Baahubali for a record price of 4 million USD. Now the makers are in plans to close the deal at the earliest.     After Baahubali, actor Prabhas will be seen in a high octane multilingual drama titled as Saaho. Produced by Prabhas’ home banner UV Creations, the film is directed by Sujeeth of Run Raja Run fame. While a glimpse of this big budget entertainer was already released three months ago, the regular shooting is yet to commence in full flow.

    Revealing the latest development to a leading Tamil news portal, cinematographer Madhie said that the unit shot for only 7 days till now. He added that they have 180 days of shoot left. Madhie remained tight-lipped about the film’s leading lady and revealed that the makers will officially announce the name shortly. He further said that the film will feature an extensive CGI work and hence the post production will take considerable time.

    Saaho will be majorly shot in Dubai and Mumbai. Shankar – Ehsan – Loy will render the soundtrack for the film.

    After the tremendous success of ‘Baahubali’, the entire nation is closely observing what sort of projects Prabhas choose next. There is a new speculation surfacing every other day claiming to be an exclusive news on Prabhas’ Bollywood debut. Actor-choreographer turned filmmaker Prabhu Deva has now made an interesting revelation about directing Prabhas.

    Speaking to a leading English daily, Prabhu Deva has confirmed that he would direct Prabhas after he was done with ‘Saaho’. He further said that he has set up a project with Prabhas not just to cash in on his recently found fame but owing to their friendship.

    “Prabhas is a dear friend. I’ve known him from the time he set foot in cinema. And, I have been thinking of directing him for a while now. In fact, he sportingly did a cameo appearance in my Hindi film, Action Jackson. Right now, he’s busy with his next Telugu film Saaho, post which we will do our film together,” reveals Prabhu while speaking to the national daily.

    Prabhu Deva however hasn’t clarified if his film with Prabhas would be the actor’s highly awaited Bollywood debut or another Hindi-Telugu-Tamil trilingual. On the other hand, buzz is strong in Bollywood circles that both Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala are planning to rope in Prabhas in a direct Hindi film.

    It may be recalled that Prabhas has committed to work with ‘Jil’ fame Radhakrishna for a pure love story after ‘Saaho’.

    Neil Nitin Mukesh shooting for Telugu film ‘Saaho’

    Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, last seen on screen in an antagonist’s role in southern project “Kaththi”, will be seen as an antagonist again in upcoming Prabhas-starrer Telugu action thriller “Saaho”.

    “And it begins. Day 1 of ‘Saaho’,” Neil tweeted on Friday night.

    In the film, being directed by Sujeeth, the “Johnny Gaddar” actor is said to be playing the antagonist.

    Sujeeth told IANS last month that a major chunk of the film’s budget will be used on action sequences.

    “The scale on which it is being made, a major budget will be spent on some extravagant action scenes. Although it will be a commercial outing, we are attempting something new and I would like to keep that as a surprise element,” Sujeeth said.

    International stuntman Kenny Bates, popular for his work on films such as “Die Hard” and “Transformers”, has been brought on board.

    “Kenny will be supervising the action scenes. We have already finalised locations in Abu Dhabi and some places in Europe where shooting will be done extensively. We go on the floors from the end of May,” he said.

    The movie, which will also be released in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

    While Sabu Cyril will take care of production design, Madhie will crank the camera.

    “We wanted the music to have a national appeal. We roped in Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy because they understand north as well southern sensibilities when it comes to composing music. They have also worked in the south,” Sujeeth had said.
