As Sushanth gears up for a comeback with Aatadukundam Ra, nearly three years after his last release Adda, he’s being joined by cousins Naga Chaitanya and Akhil who will be making special appearances in the film.
“There was something specially written from the beginning. But then, I felt it would be ideal to wait till the end to see if it was really needed. And then, once we were done, I approached Chaitanya myself to see if he’d like to be a part of the cameo. He willingly said yes,” shares Sushanth who is excited that the duo will be part of the film, albeit in cameos.
Interestingly, Akhil himself showed interest to be a part of the film before even being approached. “There’s the title track Aatadukundam Raa and I felt it would be ideal for Akhil to feature in it because the original Aatadukundam Raa song was from his film Sisindri,” shares the actor, adding, “I didn’t want to make the cameos seem forced and hence waited till the end. I am glad things fell into place.”
While Chaitanya has finished shooting the scene, the song featuring Akhil will be canned soon.
Talking about being back after such a long gap, Sushant expresses excitement. “It wasn’t a conscious decision to stay away for so long. I want to be part of films that I am sure will work out. I found Aatadukunda Raa very funny and couldn’t say no
