It is now official that reigning actress Anushka Shetty will be seen in a special appearance in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ambitious period drama Syeraa Narasimha Reddy which chronicles the life history of unsung freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. She has completed shooting for her part a few weeks ago in Hyderabad.
Reportedly, the Baahubali actress is going to be seen in the role of Rani Jhansi Lakshmi Bhai, the doughty warrior princess who played a significant role in 1857 revolt. Anushka will narrate the story of Uyyalawada and will appear for a brief time in this impactful character. Even though she has less screen space in the story, her presence is expected to wow audience.
Directed by Surender Reddy, the film has Nayanatara Amithab Bachchan Sudeep Vijay Sethupathi Tamannah and few others in prominent roles. Ram Charan is bankrolling the film and it is slated for release later this year.
