What is the Telugu Version Gross of Sye Raa in USA?

0

We all know that Sye Raa which was released on the 2nd October of this year has collected 2.5 Million in the USA according to the Comscore aka Rentrak. The film is reported in all languages combined ie, Telugu, Hindi & Tamil. Now let’s see how much is the gross of Telugu version alone and where it stands in the all-time list.

According to the reports, the film has collected 2.47 Mn approx in Telugu Version and other languages have contributed about 35k approx. Gross of Tamil/Hindu languages is very less which is understandable as it faced competition from War & Asuran. But the film has underperformed big time even in the Telugu Version resulting losses to the distributor. The film is a non-Baahubali grosser in both Telugu States & Rest Of India Markets (KA/TN/North India combined) whereas it stands at 7th in the All-Time list of USA. Chiranjeevi has missed the 2.5 Million again by a whisker as his earlier film Khaidi No.50 has collected about 2.45 Million.

Chiranjeevi and Charan gets an invitation from Narendra Modi

1

Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan have been to New Delhi and invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his ministers for the special screening of Syeraa. Indian Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu watched the film and lauded Chiranjeevi for his work. The latest news says that Chiranjeevi and Charan received a call from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Charan confirmed the same and he responded to this saying that they are looking forward to the meeting.

Earlier to this, Ram Charan’s wife Upasana made it to the news after she expressed her disappointment about Narendra Modi ignoring the South Indian actors during his ‘Change Within Meet’. The grand event was attended by all the Bollywood stars and celebrities. Surprisingly, Chiranjeevi and Charan received an invitation from Narendra Modi after the incident. Syeraa recently completed its dream run all over and it ended up as a decent hit in Telugu. Surendar Reddy is the director and Konidela Production Company bankrolled this big budget periodic drama.

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy (all versions) Worldwide Closing Collections – Average

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy Worldwide Closing Collections

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy (all versions) has ended up its run Worldwide with a distributor share of 143 Cr. Telugu Version of the film stands at All-Time Top 3 Worldwide with a distributor share of 134.40 Cr. The film is a profitable venture for Nizam & Uttarandhra distributors in the Telugu States. Ceeded & Nellore buyers have come close to breakeven with a loss of around 5 %. Remaining distributors have faced up to 15% losses. The film can be termed as an Above Average venture in the Telugu States. It is also the only film after the Baahubali(s) to collect more than 100cr share in the Telugu States.

Now coming to the territories outside, the film is a loss venture for the Karnataka buyer who bought the film for a huge 27 Crores. The business for Telugu version is decent to an extent in Karnataka but the other versions have not really performed resulting in a huge loss. Tamil, Malayalam & Hindi version has done poorly in their home markets. The film has faced competition from films like Asuran / Namma Veetu Pillai in Tamil Nadu, War in Hindi which has affected it big time. The film is an own release in these markets thus no one has lost on it.

The film is a loss venture for all the sub-distributors in overseas as the main buyer has sold most of the areas barring gulf. The film has collected 2.625 Million in North America where it has to do around 3.4 Million. The story is the same with distributors who have bought the film in Australia, the United Kingdom, etc.

Overall Syeraa Narasimha Reddy can be termed as an Average Venture.

Image of suspect in bear spray incident during SyeRaa movie released

1

In a bizarre incident, a man aged between 25 to 30 years has sprayed moviegoers with bear spray during the screening of Telugu film SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy in Kitchener and Whitby of Canada. The incident occurred at 1PM and 3 PM on Friday. Both these incidents are said to be related and police are currently on the lookout for the suspect.

Two day later, Police have released the image of the offender who is said to be of thin build with a black beard. He is seen sporting a black hooded sweater with eyeglasses. US box office : SyeRaa puts up an ordinary show on Friday

0

SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy is having an ordinary run at the US box office. While the domestic collections are holding well, the rave reviews and terrific word of mouth are not translating into strong numbers in North America.

After an underwhelming start with $ 858K from Tuesday premiers, the film remained steady on Wednesday and collected a decent haul of $ 283K to surpass the million dollar mark. But, the Thursday and Friday collections are not-so-impressive from trade perspective. The Surender Reddy directional has posted only lukewarm numbers on Thursday with $ 131K and an ordinary $ 250K on Friday. The next two days are going to be very crucial if the film need to put up a respectable show in North America. Looking at the current trend, trade circles reckon that the film might not touch the $ 3M mark and end up less than Saaho. The breakeven mark for SyeRaa buyers is $ 3.5M and at this pace it is highly impossible to hit the magic figure.

Despite good reviews, SyeRaa was unable to draw the attention of audience in overseas. Chiranjeevi’s sterling performance and Surender Reddy’s emotional narration have received huge accolades, but unfortunately they are not helping the film outside India.

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy is decent on the third day – 3 Days AP/TS Collections

0

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy has collected a distributor share of 6.90 cr on its third day in the Telugu States. This has taken three days total share of the film to 53.96 Cr. There is a drop of 30 per cent from the second day which is a bit more than the normal drop though the collections are still decent. The film should hold at these levels today though there is another release chanakya which has taken out some of the screens of sye raa.

A deep dive into the narrative structure of “SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy”

1

By Dr. Shrawan Kumar Aerrola

SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy has been MegaStar Chiranjeevi garu’s dream project since the last decade & a half & now finally , this Magnum Opus has finally hit the theaters. Before I deep dive into the narrative structure & of SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy I want to let the readers know that this think piece is written from a perspective of a film lover, I’m neither a fanatic nor a hater of Chiranjeevi garu, I love him as much as any other average Telugu movie goer, so rest assured, this piece isn’t going to pander or spew vitriol.

Making movies in general is a tough task let alone making movies of this scale & grandeur, that thought hasn’t been lost up on me as I write this. Every movie lover should appreciate the effort that goes into making movies of such scale, that being said, let me walk you through the gamut of emotions that this movie throws at us via the narrative structure , characters & the decisions they take.

Let’s analyze the screenplay of the film & what I liked about it–

SPOILER ALERT

The writing team of this movie has decided to majorly lean on a particular type of narrative device to propel the story forward, for the lack of better terms i shall call that device “The Setup & The Payoff” but it also goes by many other names such as as “Foreshadowing” or if you’re really well versed with the parlance of story telling, you may call it “The Chekhov’s Gun” . what happens in this sort of narrative is that they setup a particular character to do or go through something either via dialogue, action, prop or sometimes via visual cues etc. & they circle back to it at some point later in the film to it’s logical conclusion which reveals the setup’s significance, this is called a payoff. This type of narrative device is very common & writers have been using it since time immemorial & it is very effective as it forms the connective thread which holds up the film together & if done right it will resonate with the audience emotionally and gives them a sense of closure after they’re done watching the film. Now merely setting up & delivering the payoff isn’t enough to make a screenplay compelling, both the setup & the payoff should come at strategic moments in the film & the latter should be propelling the character to a dizzying heights or abysmal lows which makes the movie all the more interesting. This film gets it right most of the time, no wonder when the end credits roll we are overcome by a sense of joy of watching a finely crafted film especially from a narrative point of view. Let us go through the various setups & their payoffs.

1 ) The first setup comes in the form of a verbal cue & this happens with in the first few seconds after the movie has begun, I’m talking about the first scene where Jhansi Laxmi is rallying her soldiers to boost up their morale where she says that a real warrior wouldn’t let go off his/her sword even if they were decapitated in the battle, the payoff comes right in the end when Narasimha Reddy manages to have the last laugh by fatally plunging his sword into Cochrane & his lackey despite being beheaded in the process, it is at this point Narasimha Reddy transcends from being a mere mortal & becomes a symbolic representation of how a warrior ought to be, hence the director uses a silhouette shot as a silhouette emphasizes the act rather than the person.

2 ) The second instance is during the birth of Narasimha Reddy, he was thought to be a stillborn baby but the baby comes back to life & that auspicious day happens to be “Karthika Pournami” & this moment is brought to a full circle where it is on that very same day where Narasimha Reddy’s sojourn as a rebel comes to an end as he is captured on the mountain summit after having lit the fire for one last time, perhaps it alludes to the metaphorical fire he has lit in the hearts of his fellow country men/women?

3 ) The entire speech given by Amitabh ji is one huge foreshadowing, especially the part where he says that it’s not about killing or dying but it’s about winning & true to his word Narasimha Reddy depsite being martyred has achieved symbolic victory.

4 ) Laxmi sees Narasimha Reddy for the first time when she’s underwater & in an ironic payoff, the last time she utters his name is before she engulfed in flames.

5 ) In the very first scene where Narasimha Reddy is introduced we’re told that the reason he can hold his breath for extended periods of time is because he mastered the art of “Jala Sthambhana Vidya” & this setup is paid off in the end when Narasimha Reddy is able to survive the hanging & break free of the noose courtesy of his mastery of the above mentioned skill.

6 ) The conflict with Avuka Raju is setup so as to provide an antagonist to Narasimha Reddy but in an ironic payoff in the end, Avuka Raju proves to be the biggest proponent of Narasimha Reddy’s crusade.

7 ) When Narasimha Reddy explains to the little kid about fighting for your right while feeding him & it’s payoff when the very same kid defies Jackson to hold onto their farm produce , this is a stroke of genius where both the setup & the payoff act as turning points, the former acts as an inciting incident to the entire movie itself where Narasimha Reddy moved by the plight of the people tells Raghu Babu that they wouldn’t be paying the taxes which brings Jackson into the fray & the payoff loops back to remove Jackson from the equation as it’s the death of the very same kid that pushes Narasimha Reddy to kill Jackson. It’s no wonder that this the second most exciting sequence (the climax being the first) in the film, the writing team nailed this payoff.

8 ) Cochrane introduces the Character of Jackson as a hunter & in another ironic payoff the last time we see Jackson, his head is snatched off by the Jaguar. The hunter has become the prey.

9 ) When Jackson challenges Subbaiah to outrun his horse for him to reclaim their lands & how Narasimha Reddy flips it by using the very same horse which was a source of Jackson’s pride to be the source of Jackson’s shame.

When people complain that the first half of this movie was little lackluster it’s because the movie is taking it’s time to set things up so that they can be paid off in a rousing fashion, I think we as an audience need to develop little patience as instant gratification doesn’t always bode well if you seek to witness an epic story.

The very same people praise the second half of the movie for it’s kinetic pace, it’s because it is where the most of the payoffs happen like the post interval confrontation b/w Cochrane & Narasimha Reddy, Avuka Raju’s turn around, Laxmi’s comeback in a new capacity which echoes Narasimha Reddy’s wishes for her & her art. The only new setup that’s introduced in the second half is the whole arc of how Narasimha Reddy chose to deal with the traitors & the arc of Veera Reddy & his son & how the British were smart enough to exploit it. Even this set up & payoff are wrapped up in quick successions so as not to drag it out & dull down the proceedings. In fact the entire second half of the movie is one big action episode with some character moments sprinkled in between so as not to fatigue the audience, for example , how the rebellion sniffs out the traitors amongst them, this again is another payoff courtesy of Avuka Raju’s character. The writers left no stone unturned to milk every last drop of goosebump inducing moments out of the screenplay, especially in the second half & they succeed for most of the time but appear forced at times.

Since we’ve talked about what worked in the film, let’s also talk about what didn’t work for me in the film —

1 ) As I mentioned above, certain moments & emotions appear forced, where do they appear forced you may ask? take the whole Veera Reddy betrayal saga, now on the surface of it, the whole arc is heartbreaking & tear inducing but look deeper & you will see outright manipulation. Manipulation & deception work extraordinarily well when we can’t sense that they’re actually happening but once you’re cognizant of it, it takes you out of the movie watching experience & hence appear forced. when Narasimha Reddy goes for the kill of veera reddy’ son, we cut away from it, now anyone with minimal knowledge about cinema knows that such cuts are highly suspicious, it implies that the director is hiding something, in this case it’s the fact that Veera Reddy’s son is not dead. when in the end it’s revealed that Narasimha Reddy spared Veera Reddy’s sons life, One can see this coming from a mile away there by giving us a feeling that this was done only to manipulate us into feeling sorry for Narasimha reddy when he gets betrayed by his trusted aide for something he didn’t even do. I’m not even gonna go into the logic of the whole sequence, as in how Veera Reddy or others didn’t even try & see the bodies or how is it that the rebellion didn’t send the bodies of these traitors to the EIC (East India Company) so as to send a strong message to EIC to not to mess with them. I won’t go there because one can’t be too stuck up on logic when watching a “mass entertainer” . But my gripe is with the haphazard way it was executed, what should’ve been an emotional punch to the gut ends up looking shoe horned to garner maximum sympathy. Thank god for the impeccable acting prowess of Chiranjeevi garu that this sequence didn’t look outright silly.

2 ) I also didn’t like how the relationship dynamics were always skewed towards Narasimha Reddy when it came to his equation with the female protagonists. The writers seem to have exclusively focused on Narasimha Reddy’s character & denied his female counterparts their moments .This is true especially in the case of Laxmi’s character, now i’m not one of those self proclaimed “woke” guys but would it hurt to have a single compelling female character in a movie? people are under the assumption that Laxmi’s character is one such type, a fierce & strong character, but if you take a look at her characters trajectory you will see why it’s not the case. One of the primary requisites of a strong character is to have agency, the freedom of choice, Laxmi lacks it completely. All her major character choices are determined either by Narasimha Reddy (her deciding to become a performing activist ) or her circumstances which again were a result of not her actions but Narasimha Reddy’s actions (her getting captured just because she is Narasimha Reddy’s object of affection). Even the one shining moment in which Laxmi sacrifices her self is upstaged by Narasimha Reddy when she says that “Her body is only for Narasimha Reddy”, now why do the writers go above & beyond to make everything be about the main character? why can’t they let the other characters have their own moment with out evoking the omnipotent aura of the Narasimha Reddy? The sole purpose of Siddhamma’s character is to disrupt Narasimha Reddy’s pursuit of Laxmi which in turn compels him to push Laxmi to become a performing activist which again is paid off in the second half.

3 ) why was Vijay Setupathi wasted in such an insignificant role? instead of generic Ravi Kishan he should’ve played the traitor, but I guess the makers didn’t want to rub the Tamil audience the wrong way.

4 ) The primary reason behind filling up this movie with so many characters seems to be that it would give the film a larger than life feel to it. How is it that the writing team forgot that it’s not the volume of the characters but the quality of the characters that make the film feel larger than life. what this does is take away the gravitas of the film because there are so many under developed characters on the screen & it also didn’t help that most of the characters are an archetype rather than a properly fleshed out character. obedient wife – check (Nayanthara), a loyal guardian- check (Brahmaji) , token white guys with horrible Telugu accent – check, overly dramatic Indian lackey to the British – check (Raghu Babu), obvious traitor – check (Ravi Kishan). Instead of trying to fill up the screen with as many actors as possible I wish the writers cut down the number of characters that appear on the screen & fleshed out the remaining , especially Cochrane or Jackson, as a history fiend I know that it wasn’t just brute force that put the EIC on the zenith, there were some really smart people operating at the height of their intellect so as to beat us in our own backyard. A battle of wits b/w Narasimha Reddy & one of the English enforcers before the inevitable real battle would’ve taken this film a notch higher.

I didn’t talk about the obvious things about the film like Chiranjeevi garus extraordinary performance, especially in the climax or the superb character of Subbiah or the lavish production values or the dialogues because there are already thousands of people out there singing their praises. My intention in doing this is to shine a light on the backbone of any film, the screenplay writing & it’s impact on the outcome of the film.

‘Sye Raa’ Review – Emotional story of an Unheralded freedom fighter

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Review

Telugu360 Rating: 3.25/5

The wait is finally over.Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated ambitious period drama Syeraa Narasimha Reddy is hitting the screens worldwide amid massive expectations.Let’s find out if SyeRaa lives up to the hype and hysteria or not.

Story:

The film is based on the Palegar of Rayalaseema , Majjari Narasimha Reddy, who revolted against the atrocities of British Raj in 1847. Narasimha was one of the 61 independent palegars of the region who is under Biritish system and pay taxes. The conflict begins when drought hits seema and the British still insist to pay tax on land. How Narasimha Reddy unites the rest of the palegars , people and revolt against the atrocities , is the rest of the story

Analysis :
Director Surender Reddy opens the story on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai. To inspire her warriors , she narrates story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy which happened 10 years prior to her time.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been executed on BIG scale , beginning with showcasing Britishers’ atrocities in the region. Narration is slow paced initially but that is adequate to build up the required emotion against the rulers. As interval approaches the film picks up the pace. The scene in which first time Narasimha Reddy revolts against Officer Jackson came out well , followed by a high intense Interval block. Director surender takes a cue from S.S.Rajamouli here.

Even though Megastar Chiranjeevi shows his age in few scenes, one has to appreciate his conviction and gumption to do this role. Given the age ( 30 years ) of the protagonist in the story , Producer Charan himself would have been T fit for this role. Nevertheless , performance wise chiranjeevi gave his best. His dialogue delivery is good.

Second half starts off with some cinematic elevations and works with masses for 30 minutes. Then onwards back to back fights between Britishers and Renadu area palegars come in sequence.

Most of the action sequences by Greg Powell, Lee Whittaker, Ram-Laxman and A Vijay are far from realisitc, but from mass point of view may be a necessity.

Cinematic liberty in historical films is acceptable , but higher degreee of distortion might not be. When did Narasimha Reddy and troops kill 10,000 British Army ? Killing of so many thousands of British troops would have highlighted Narasimha Reddy on world history books. In addition, the scale of war episodes are mounted as if two gigantic empires ( likes of Maratha Sivaji empire ) are at war.

Factually Narasimha Reddy was hardly a leader for 4-5 Taluks , who majorly performed guerilla warfare. Here we’re not undermining the patriotism of the person, but highlighting the way it has been portrayed and played to galleries.

Another fact is Narasimha’s wife Siddhamma passed away before he was captured by Brits. But , in film she was shown alive when Narasimha was caught

An emotional climax works, but it is coupled with unnecessary mass heroism shots.

Performances :

Frontline stars , actors from all languages have been roped in. Amitab Bachan as Gosai Venkanna , Kicha Sudeep as Avuku Raju , Vijay Sethupati , Jagapathi Babu as Veera Reddy , Nayanatara as Siddhamma ( Narasimha’s wife ) , Thamanna as performer and many others fill the cast and everyone did their job best. Megastar Chiranjeevi as mentioned above, except for his looks , did a good work as protagonist. His dialogue delivery is very good.

Saichand , Jagapathi Babu characters evoke sentiment.

Production values are top notch. Producer Ram Charan goes all in w.r.t. spending. Cinematography , BGM are good and Visual effects are patchy.

Positives :

  • Production Values
  • Intense Interval , Post Interval blocks
  • Megastar’s Presence
  • Narasimha Reddy’s patriotism
  • Ensemble of Stars

Negatives :

  • Slow first half until interval block
  • A Palegar of 3-4 Taluks has been projected as if a king of Maratha empire as such ,especially the war scenes setup.
  • Ample distortion of history

Verdict:

Sye Raa has long been a dream project for Megastar and after watching the movie one can understand why. It is a story of an inspiring freedom fighter with good emotional content.  A commercial hit film that portrays rebellion Narasimha Reddy story effectively. Producer Charan delivers a dream project for his dad with ample help from Director Surender Reddy.

US box office : SyeRaa off to a terrific start

0

Much awaited big ticket film of the season, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s SyeRaa is all set to take the box office by a storm from tomorrow. The period film made on a mammoth budget is carrying huge buzz in all territories. While the bookings in domestic areas are sensational, the pre sales in USA are no different where the film is expected to take a flying start.

As per the latest reports, the presales of SyeRaa in US are quite terrific as it breached the half a million dollar mark even before the premiers are underway. Trade circles are expecting that the film will surpass the million dollar mark if it gets decent talk from early shows in North America. The spectacular trailers and promos have struck a chord with audience and the buzz surrounding this magnum opus is unprecedented. Director Surender Reddy and his team are confident that the breathtaking war episodes and the emotional content will appeal to all sections of audience.

SyeRaa traces the unknown story of India’s first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who hails from Kurnool. Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan produced the film on Konidela Productions banner

Syeraa Success: Much needed for Telugu Cinema

0

SS Rajamouli is one director who opened doors for Telugu cinema to explore other markets and experiment keeping up big budgets. After the super success of Baahubali, Saaho is the only big budget film that released from Tollywood. Unfortunately, the film failed to re-create the magic and all eyes are now focused on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus Syeraa. The film is getting a wide release across the circles of North India, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala along with overseas.

With all the eyes focused on Telugu cinema, Syeraa success will turn out to be a huge boost for the upcoming Telugu films. If the film fares well, there would be several periodic and big budget films coming from Telugu filmmakers. Megastar too can cement his position in North and other Southern states. He gets his market expanded and can get a huge release for his upcoming projects.

All eyes are currently focused on Syeraa and the film is hitting the screens tomorrow. Surendar Reddy is the director and Ram Charan is the producer.

Reader Writes : Open Letter to Ram Charan

2

(Our reader Naveen Raju sends this opinion letter to us)

Dear Charan,

I maybe a stranger to you but you aren’t and certainly not the Legend who pro created you, I have been a huge fan of your Father, he has inspired me, he has emboldened my views and in many ways been a great role model for me, I have never met him, I don’t intend to meet him as well, I trust my connection with him is stronger that way and the enigma remains as mystic as I always wanted it to be.

I was very glad when I first heard KPC (Konidela Production Company) rolling out #SyeRaaNarasimhaReddy with a huge star cast and Bahubalisque budget, who better than a son to understand the needs of a landmark film and cater to it with perfection, I congratulate you on successfully completing the product in the best way possible and this is conspicuous from the visuals of the songs and trailers it’s evident the technicians and Director have used every penny of yours to majestic effect, Tommorow when we see the film in theatres I’m very sure we all will be swept away with beatitude emotions that only a MEGASTAR can give us and has been giving us for the better part of last quarter century, you sure must have left no stone unturned to get the gigantic project into motion and ensuring every department gets the right resources and monetary support for this project to materialise, So far so good..

Like all big products, #SyeRaa also needed extensive and bull dozed marketing to create ripples across India, since you are releasing the film in 5 languages its a foregone conclusion that you want this film to reach wider audience and pan Indian base, a film which aims to reach pan Indian base needs blitzkrieg marketing and promotions, these days there are many who promote a hollow product as utopian product, with #SyeRaa you probably are sitting on one of the most author backed powerful product to ever come out of Tollywood after Bahubali, yet you seem to care too less to go on aggressive marketing .The juke box of this film released 32 hours before the first show of this film screens ini Kuwait, this is abominous act, there were no promotions in the North belt via various shows and press meets that usually are associated with the Bollywood market, every thing that was planned happened in last 3 days, who does that.. Who would want to have a solid product in their hand and hide it in their closet? I even paid a visit by spending my own money to Excel Entertainment office and requested them to promote #SyeRaa more aggressively, I’m sure that request must have fallen into deaf ears.

The poor promotions aside, even the advance bookings aren’t opened in majority of cities with top Multiplex partners like PVR or Inox, I understand there are negotiations that happen between a Distributor and Exhibitor over percentage and other issues but these are to be done much before, not 24 hours away from the movie release. It sends out very poor signals to everyone who is excited.

You are acting in #RRR film, I’m sure Rajamouli will make another grand spectacle and I’m also sure he will redefine the marketing blitzkrieg of Bahubali again, is it too much to expect from you even 25% of the efforts that Rajamouli puts on promoting his films?

In many of your speeches I listen to you as how passionate you are about realizing your fathers dream project and everything, where is this passion when it comes to marketing your films, as a Megastarophillic I may enjoy the film and watch it repeatedly which is what matters to me end of the day, but seeing how the world around us is moving in smart way to reach wider base and seeing that we are sitting on a majestic product but unwilling to promote it makes me really cringe, I couldn’t help but write this letter to express my dissapointment with the way this film was marketed or handled in terms of release, I truly wish no major film has to undergo this streak of. Poor promotions , nevertheless I wish you and my Megastar the very best for the film, I truly want him to win the National award for this film, he deserves it and much more.

Yours Faithfully

Jai Chiranjeeva

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy Worldwide Pre-Release Business : Third Highest for any Tollywood Film

Syeraa Narasimha Reddy Worldwide Pre-Release Business

Megastar Chiranjeevi – Surender Reddy ‘s Syeraa Narasimha Reddy is gearing up for a grand release tomorrow. The film is sold for over 150cr which is the third-highest for any Tollywood film after Baahubali2 & Saaho. Syeraa is sold in the Telugu States, Karnataka, Overseas while it is an own release through local distributors in North India, Tamil Nadu & Kerala. Generally, we value rights for own releases but it can’t really be done for Sye Raa as the film will be facing big competition from ‘War’ in North India, Namma Veettu Pillai / Asuran in Tamil Nadu. The film is getting very limited shows in North India.
