Dy CM’s brother joins Jana Sena: Stronger caste factor

2

The local caste and community feelings are running deep in Godavari districts. The Kapus are mostly getting attracted towards Pawan Kalyan. This has also affected Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa whose brother Bapuji has now joined Jana Sena. His simple reason for shifting party loyalty is that their family has been protected and supported by the Kapu community in their and surrounding villages for decades. Almost all of them are joining Pawan which has made him to eventually take the decision.

The relatives of Chinarajappa are spread over Pedagadavilli, Chinagadavilli and Munipalli villages. His brother Bapuji has not been active in politics till now but the enthusiastic feeling among other members of community has driven him to join Jana Sena as well.

The Kapu youth groups from these villages are taking an active part in Jana Sena activities. They have distributed glasses to create awareness about the party symbol. Caste polarisation is picking up in the Godavari districts which is changing electoral dynamics very fast. It is also making predictions on which party will benefit a bit difficult.

  1. If CBN gives only 10-12 seats to Kammas and reddy’s and 80-100 seats to BCs and SC&STs then I will agree with your caste comments. Everyone talks the talk but never walks the walk when it comes to BCs.
