Young director Nag Ashwin made an impressive debut with Yevade Subramanyam however he took a long break to start his next. He decided to roll out the biopic of the legendary actress Savitri on screen which turned out to be a challenge. After an intensive search, Keerthy Suresh has been finalized to play the title role to reprise the actress on screen. As revealed Samantha will be seen in an interesting role who will have enough prominence.
The supporting actors are currently being finalized and the movie will have its official launch this month. NTR and Naga Chaitanya are rumoured to reprise their grandfathers NTR and ANR on screen however an official confirmation is awaited. Massive sets have been erected to take the audience to 1960s and 70s. Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema are jointly producing the movie which will release during early 2018.
