Sizzling beauty Samantha who shook overseas last year with all her films entering million dollar club after the success of Janatha Garage didnot sign any new film. More than her films she concentrated on personal life.
After a long time she started listening to various scripts and gave green signal to Mahanati. In the film upcoming Malayalee beauty Keerthy Suresh will be playing the lead role as Mahanati Savitri,the legendary actress. Now it is comingout that Samantha will be seen in important role.
Buzz is she will be playing the role of a journalist and according to sources Samantha’s role as a journalist who writes autobiography of the legend is the crucial and so filmmakers roped her in for the all important role.
Filmmakers at first planned to cast Samantha in lead role but Samantha dropped out as the lead role require gaining and shedding weight. However Samantha who loved the script said she will act as a journalist if offered. Currently the film’s pre production is underway and film may go to sets in Feb 2017. Nag Ashwin is directing the film. Burra Sai Madhav who penned dialogues for Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, Kanche, Gopala Gopala, Gautamiputra Satakarni and Khaidi No 150 is penning dialogues for the film.
Plans are on to release the film in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
