Telangana Liberation Day Sankalpa Sabha was held by Bharatiya Janata Party in Nizambad on Sunday wherein Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the gathering. He showered praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and spoke of New-India 2022, Indo-Pak relationship among many other initiatives by the BJP led NDA government.
Remarkably, the Union Minister did not utter a single word against the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He critiqued Congress and spoke of the scams that took place under the reign of the grand old party. Only the state leaders deplored the KCR government’s indifferent attitude in celebrating the Telangana Liberation Day.
Rajanth did not take cue from TRS MP D Srinivas’s son Arvind joining BJP in his presence. While Arvind and other state BJP leaders are devising strategies to go severely against the ruling party, the centre obviously wants to distance itself from agitating against the state government.
With this speech, it is evident that the central government will maintain a non-aligned attitude towardsTRS party. While MP Dattatreya critiqued the state home minister for his allegations against BJP, Rajnath himself put the state leaders in a tricky position, thus leaving the people guessing.
Last week when state BJP leaders were conducting Telangana Vimochana Yatra apprising people of the deception by TRS government, Bihar Deputy CM sang praises for the KCR. Saffron brigade of Telangana was embarrassed today again and Rajnath with his speech increased the confusion.
