Court shock to Vijay Sai, Deekshitulu on pink diamond

3

The pink diamond issue is continuing to bother YCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy and the TTD former chief priest Ramana Deekshitulu even now. The court gave the latest order saying that the TTD cannot withdraw the case against them. The Tirupati 10th Additional District Court has heard the petitions of the Telangana Hindu Jana Sakti and some individual lawyers.

The petitioners argued that Vijay Sai Reddy and Ramana Deekshitulu should face the defamation case for over Rs. 100 Cr each. They told the court the TTD decision to withdraw the defamation suit was arbitrary and hurtful to the sentiments of the Hindu devotees all over the world.

Immediately after the YCP came to power, the Jagan Reddy Government withdrew the case that was filed against Vijay Sai and Deekshitulu. Under the previous Chandrababu Naidu regime, the case was filed when both these two made sensational comments on the disappearance of the pink diamond.

This time, the Tirupati court has also allowed the Telangana Hindu Jana Sakti and other lawyers to be parties in the defamation case along with the TTD.

Deekshitulu becomes TTD Chief Priest but honorary

0

Ranana Deekshitulu is known as the controversial YSR family loyalist in TTD power politics. For long, his family is waging a lone battle against the majority group of archakas. The ambitious Ramana Deekshitulu will not settle for any post lesser than Chief Priest of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). But, his rival group got this post in Chandrababu Regime because of their legal rights. However, angry Ramana passed damaging comments against Chandrababu and launched a religious crusade on the God’s jewellery. What more, the priest also met then opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy and got promise of favours in the next YCP Circar.

After becoming CM, Jagan could not fulfill his promise but anyhow made Ramana as the Agama Advisor. Despite the limitations of this post, he went on to wield lot of influence in most activities of the TTD. Now, Ramana Deekshitulu is given Honorary Chief Priest post. The TTD could not change existing Chief Priest because of the litigation involved. Ramana also got positions for his two sons in the TTD under YCP Regime. Still, the group rivalry is not stopping. Dollar Sheshadri, who belongs to rival group, also got extention because of his own connections. Just like in politics, power struggles are there in religious corridors as well.

Deekshitulu creating new controversies in TTD Sevas?

0

Former chief priest of Ramana Deekshutulu is putting his stamp on many aspects in TTD ever since he took over as the Agama Advisor recently. Now, the Agama Committee under his leadership submitted a report on the existing Tirumala Srivari Arjita Seva traditions. They say that Vasanthotsavams, Kalasabhishekam and Vishesha Puja need to be removed in order to protect the ‘Bimbham’ which is 600 years old.

The Deekshitulu team says that if these Sevas are held daily, the age-old Bimbham will be worn out quickly. Then it will be lost forever. So, Vasanthotsavams and Sahasra Kalasabhishekam can be held once a year. But, it is not easy to stop these sevas which are very popular among the devotees. Any wrong decision will hurt sentiments. Following this, the TTD officials are in a big dilemma what decision to make.

Already, lot of political attention is there on TTD these days. The BJP and the Hindu organisations are making all sorts of allegations against the YCP government regarding temples. It is not going to be an easy decision for TTD at a time when Ramana Deekshitulu is himself known as a pro-YCP controversial priest.
