Chief minister Naidu has introduced Andhra style of political communication to people of the Davos and to the world governmental and corporate bosses arriving there to deliberate upon the global economic situation in the 46 th World Economic Forum meeting .

The Chinese meltdown and the ISIS challenge are going to form the core agenda of the deliberations. But Andhra Pradesh chief minister Naidu will arrive there tomorrow to show case opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, christened as Sunrise state, in style. Despite the troubles at global plane Naidu is embarking on the campaign with a slogan ‘Make Andhra Pradesh Your Business’. He has dispatched Industries secretary SS Rawat to Davos in advance to launch the campaign with a Ratham (bus) which is now crisscrossing the Davos streets. Rawat team has already erected posters here and there ( like politicians do here back home) to tell about the southern state of India.

Chief ministers attending Davos conference is not new. Similarly CM’s holding parleys for investments also is not new. However, it is for the first time that a chief minister of a province of Republic of India is embarking on such a publicity blitz in a unique way. Already, according to sources in the government, the Andhra Bus and the posters, drew the attention of citizens of Davos, Switzerland. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be in Davos for three days from tomorrow to participate in the WEF annual summit and hold bilateral meetings with industrialists, businessmen and experts from various fields. Riding on the success of recent Vizag Partnership Summit where he had signed MoU worth Rs 5 lakh crore, Naidu wants to this success as the eminent qualification of Andhra Pradesh to become the next important port of call for global investors. According to sources, some international consultants have already lined up several meetings for Naidu with many companies of global repute. Even some crucial MoU or commitments can’t be ruled out, the sources said.

Last year’s AP Investments Session at Davos yielded some important MoU like the one by Welspun. Welspun Renewables signed an MoU for setting 100.1 Solar project in AP. Vineet Mittal of Welspun Renewables made a commitment in the presence of CM Naidu to invest about Rs 700 crore in the project.
