Nagarjuna University, finally, has been forced to lodge a complaint with police against Architecture College principal Baburao under the Anti Ragging Act at the behest of the fact finding committee of YSR Congress in sensational suicide case of student Rishiteswari.
The committee of the comprising of MLA Roja, Senior Leader Pratha Saradi, Goutham Reddy, Prof Ummareddhy Venkateswarlu etc. came to know many hidden facts related to the death of Rishiteswari,who committed suicide a month ago unable to bear obscene ragging and harassment by seniors, during its investigation.
The committee confronted with Samba Shivarao (VC) and Raja Shekar (University Registrar) for their failure to lodge complaint against the principal, who is known to misbehave with girl-students.
MLA Roja demanded that Baburao be arrested immediately and expressed her concern for the students well-being.
YSRC alleged that fact-finding committee set-up by the government was in fact trying to suppress the facts.
