Mahesh Babu is all set to start working on his next film. The film which will be directed by Srikanth Addala is titled Brahmotsavam. This film was initially planned for Pongal 2016 release and a press release was given by the production house to this effect. Latest we hear is that this film is unlikely to make it to theaters for Pongal 2016 and is being planned for Summer 2016 release. Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu has taken a huge opening at Andhra Pradesh Box office. The film raked in a staggering 1.7 crores on day 1 in West Godavari district. Worth share of the film is 80.5 lakhs and the total of 1.7 crores includes fixed hires amount of 89 lakhs. There is no stopping this film and Srimanthudu will be Srimanthudu at the Boxoffice as well.
This action family drama has registered a first day share of 1.05 crores in Krishna district. This share includes 20 lakhs from benefit shows in various locations across the district. Srimanthudu is only the second film ever to cross the coveted 1 crore mark in Krishna district on first day.

Srimanthudu is going for a bilingual parallel release in Tamil and the Tamil version is titled Selvandhan.
