Mahanati Teaser

Mahanati, a biopic on iconic Telugu actor Savitri, is one of the most eagerly awaited films this season. After creating good buzz with posters introducing the principal characters, the makers have unveiled the first teaser of the film today.

At 50 seconds, the brief teaser positions the film as a fitting tribute to the legendary yesteryear actor Savitri who ruled the roost in South Indian cinema during her heydays.

The teaser, which starts with the voice over of Samantha, is fascinatingly cut as it reveals Keerthy Suresh’s look as Savitri. She has uncanny resemblance to Savitri and seems to have got the naunces of her mannerisms without any imperfections.

The evocative music score and the befitting artwork seem to the mainstay for this period film.

The shots of Keerthy suresh as Savitri will win the audience’s hearts and some frames of posters naming Dr Chakravarthy will make the viewer quite nostalgic. Crisp editing, beautiful production values, soothing background score are few more assets.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film produced by Priyanka Dutt. While the cinematography is by Dani Sanchez – Lopez, the music score is done by Mickey J Meyer.

Samantha, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Devarakonda, Prakash Raj and Mohan Babu are essaying crucial roles in the film.
