Before beginning his Capital City tour, former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tweeted saying that his visit is aimed at exposing the Jagan Reddy government’s demolition plans against Amaravati in the past six months. Naidu visit raised political temperatures in the Capital City area. The TDP became greatly confident after the Central Government’s formal recognition to Amaravati. The Opposition leader is convinced that Jagan Reddy has no alternative but to accept Amaravati as Capital City now. Naidu is very strategically bringing pressure on the YCP by conducting his Capital tour at a crucial time.
The previous TDP Regime initiated construction works worth nearly Rs 37,000 Cr only in core Capital area. But Jagan stopped all three works. Naidu says that this is part of CM conspiracy to defame, damage and destroy Amaravati permanently. But all these anti-Amaravati plans of YCP are now defeated with the Modi government’s decision. Undoubtedly, Naidu is pushing CM Jagan Reddy to a corner. Since becoming chief minister, Jagan boldly avoided even a casual mention of Amaravati name in public meetings. But, now Jagan is being forced by the Centre to accept Amaravati Capital status which is like swallowing a bitter pill.
