New Police Command Control Center in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has performed ground breaking ceremony for establishing a new Police Command and Control Centre in an extent of seven acres in Banjara Hills, here on Sunday.

The new command centre for which the government has earmarked Rs 320 crore in the current financial year would be scanning several parts of the city through 10,000 CCTV cameras. Stressing the need to use cutting edge technologies in policing, the Chief Minister said that the technology would help in keeping an eye and preventing the evil design of the terrorists. Assuring that the government would further sanction another Rs 700 crore during the next financial year, KCR has also asked traders, corporate entities to contribute CCTVs under their Corporate Responsibility Scheme (CSR), to strengthen the hand of police. Earlier, there was a gap dividing police and people. But, there are several good police officials and personnel who are serving people as part of their duty and “we all need to cooperate and strengthen them to keep the Hyderabad city safe and secure for all.”
Appreciating that the Hyderabad City Police for having a good reputation world over, due to their sheer achievements, and however, noted to take Singapore police as roll model to further step up their delivery. Pointing out that the Command Control Centre would also help during natural calamities and disasters, KCR has also assured to provide housing for the police personnel.
