KCR, Akhilesh deliberate on ‘national politics’, other issues

0

In the national capital on a 3-day visit, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Over the past few months Rao has been talking of his entry into national politics and counter the BJP. He has been trying to forge an alternative to the BJP and Congress parties.

KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, had arrived in Delhi on Tuesday night.

On Friday, he met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. The two leaders met at KCR’s official residence here and reportedly discussed the current political scenario in the country.

The meeting lasted for around an hour. Akhilesh Yadav was accompanied by Ram Gopal Yadav, general secretary of the Samajwadi Party.

With BJP raising the ante against the ruling TRS party in Telangana, the two parties are facing off against each other.

In recent times, KCR has become a vociferous critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies. KCR had announced his support for the opposition’s presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Over the past few months, KCR has been visiting different states to meet the leaders of various non-Congress opposition parties.

As part of his national thrust, KCR has earlier met Mamata Banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray, M.K. Stalin, and H.D. Deve Gowda.

Is KCR funding Akhilesh poll expenses in UP?

1

TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao wants BJP to lose Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls at any cost. This is because KCR fears that if BJP retains power in UP for second term in March, it would signal the end of TRS in Telangana.

KCR is reportedly worried that if BJP wins UP, the next target of BJP national leadership will be Telangana Assembly polls in 2023 and PM Modi and Amit Shah will go to any extent to defeat TRS to come to power in Telangana.

KCR feels that BJP will be unstoppable in Telangana if it wins UP and for that reason KCR too wants to go to any extent to defeat BJP in UP.

KCR strongly feels that only Samajwadi Party has the strength to defeat BJP in UP but Akhilesh Yadav is facing financial problems to counter BJP, which is a ruling party both in UP and at the Centre.

KCR reportedly offfered financial help to Akhilesh to take on BJP. Earlier, KCR reportedly financed YS Jagan in 2019 Assembly polls to defeat TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

Since TRS is now engaged in a do or die battle with BJP, KCR is not going back even to fund in UP polls to defeat BJP.

Chandrababu to meet Rahul, Mayawati and Akhilesh

0

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has a hectic schedule in Delhi and Lucknow today. He is going to meet Congress President Rahul Gandhi, BSP supremo Mayawati and SP President Akhilesh Yadav separately. Under the prevailing circumstances, the BJP is expected to emerge as the single largest party in Lok Sabha. The President may give the first chance to BJP to form the government. Chandrababu is discussing plans with friendly leaders on how to counter BJP on this.

There are expectations that the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party will play a crucial role if they win more than 50 MP seats in the current election. The two parties contested polls as an alliance in Uttar Pradesh which is why they are hoping to win majority seats by beating the BJP there.
In this backdrop, Chandrababu Naidu is making sure the channels of communication remain open between the leaders of Congress, SP, BSP and also Trinamool Congress in the next few days. Rahul Gandhi, Mayawati and Mamata Banerjee are the main contenders for the PM post as of now. Chandrababu’s efforts are to ensure that the PM candidate issue should not be a hurdle for anti-Modi parties to oust him eventually after May 23 polls.

Modi’s hopes on split between Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav

0

Samajwadi Party leaders shared election dais with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Rae Bareli seat. Actually, SP doesn’t have any alliance with Congress in Uttar Pradesh. It has a tie-up with the BSP. Will SP’s closeness with Congress affect its future relations with BSP? PM Modi says SP leader Akhilesh Yadav has joined hands with Congress to isolate BSP leader Mayawati.

Modi predicts that there will certainly be differences between Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav after the May 23 counting and results. Is Modi hoping for a split in the opposition ranks? The present surveys say the BJP is facing a very tough time and that it’s no longer a smooth ride to power for Modi again. He would be requiring support from allies and even some of the present foes. Modi has already begun his game plan to win over enemies and secure his position in the event of the hung Parliament. Mayawati’s support may become crucial in such a development. The BJP is making smart moves to outwit Congress.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ frenzy reaches political domain

0

The “Avengers: Endgame” fever is not only sweeping through fans across India, but the frenzy has also reached the political world as well with parties picking references from the Marvel movie to express their views.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday gave a political twist to the mania with a post: “Over the last five years, the BJP has destroyed every pillar of democracy. But the #Endgame has begun. #MahaGathbandhan Sarkar…Coming soon”.

He also tweeted an image of the words “Mahagathbandhan Sarkar” against a blue background in the style used by Marvel Studios.

As fans flocked to theatres to watch their favourite superheroes assemble for one last time in the fourth and final “Avengers” film, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) used its reference to urge people to vote.

The PIB, the publicity arm of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, posted an image showing Avengers — Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Captain America, Ant Man, Thor, Captain Marvel, Rocket with a line — “Every Avenger matters in the end game”.

The picture also shows a montage of images of Indians — some standing in line to vote and some showing an inked finger — with a line “Every vote counts in democracy”.

The caption read: “Voting determines our future. Each of us must decide for ourselves what that should look like. There is no such thing as a vote that doesn’t matter. Go vote… #ItMatters #NoVoterToBeLeftBehind.”

From Iron Man to Captain America to Hulk to Black Widow to Thor — Marvel superheroes have assembled in “Avengers: Endgame” to save the world and fight against Thanos. As conjectured by trade analysts, the movie is not only turning out to be an emotional affair for fans but also soaring high at the box office globally.

“Avengers: Endgame”, the final chapter from the Avengers franchise, has broken box office records in India by registering an opening day collection of Rs 53.10 crore, becoming the biggest Hollywood opener in the country till date. It released in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu across 2845 screens in India on Friday.

Will KCR join Mayawati and Akhilesh?

1

KCR has been talking about a federal front without national parties like BJP and Congress for quite some time. Now Mayawati and Akhilesh seem to have joined hands to form alliance in upcoming Lok Sabha elections. With this, a debate started whether KCR will take up initiative and join Mayawati and Akhilesh as part of his federal front plans.

In a recent event of Karunanidhi’s statue unveiling, DMK president Stallin has proposed Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate of UPA. This event was attended by Chandra Babu also. Among others who attended were,Sonia Gandhi, Rajnikanth, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanswamy. But Stallin’s comments did not go well with Mayawati and Akshilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav said that -all opposition parties do not necessarily share DMK president MK Stalin’s views that Rahul Gandhi should be the next prime minister of India. After this event, SP and BSP decided to join hands and go for the coalition in the state of UP and the interesting thing is – Congress will not be a part of it. SP, BSP, RLD will together fight 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

As Maya and Akshilesh also planning a coalition without BJP and Congress, there is a very high chance of KCR joining this coalition at some point of time in future. Moreover Mamta also objected to Stallin’s comments and opined that announcing PM candidate prior to polls will deter other parties joining the coalition. So, political equations are changing so fast and federal front without BJP and Congress may be a reality soon. We will have to wait for a few more days for more clarity.

Jagan, Pawan go for poll strategists as Naidu hints at early poll

Vijayawada: The early polls indication given by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has become the talk of the State for the past couple of days. The hint dropped by Chandrababu Naidu had alerted the rivals to get ready for the battle. While Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had welcomed the early polls move, YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy is said to be launching consultations with the experts.

Jana Sena chief had held first round of consultations with elections strategist Steve Jarding at Boston during his recent visit to US. Jarding, a lecturer at the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harward, played key role in the election strategy for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Though Akhilesh Yadav failed to deliver this time, Jarding did not lose his popularity as he had already hinted at the negative trend that Akhilesh was having this time.

With Chandrababu Naidu’s announcement on early elections, Jana Sena chief had already reacted positively welcoming the decision. He said his party was ready for the elections whenever they come. He had already started recruiting the party leaders as advised by Jarding. He believes that this recruitment would help his party stand strong as the Left parties do with their whole-timers.

Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy, is learned to have started holding consultations with strategist Prashant Kishore on his election strategy. Prashant Kishore is currently the adviser to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during the 2015 elections. He also worked for Narendra Modi in the 2014 elections. While Kishore is contemplating on joining the Congress party this time, it is said that Jaganmohan Reddy wants the strategist to help his party in the State.

While the two leaders are getting ready with the renowned political strategists, Machiavellian politician he is, Chandrababu Naidu has his own ways to lead his party to victory. Unlike the other two leaders, Naidu does not require any strategist to face the elections and he is marching ahead on his plans for early polls.

Green Program: Two state CMs achieved supplementary results

0

Green plantations or Haritha Haram whatever the name of program, political netas across country are busy in promoting themselves with these type of ecological activities. Suddenly Netas prefer green way to better position their image among people.

Telangana CM KCR has started Haritha Haram project. Haritha Haram had achieved broad objective than what the normal people anticipate of having better green belt coverage. With Haritha Haram program, Telangana government sent more feels to settled people because of participation of celebrities who hails mostly from Andhra regions.

Similar to Haritha Haram UP CM Akhilesh Yadav also launched tree saplings. He tried nothing less than Guinness Record. Akhilesh government made 5Crores tree saplings across 6,166 sites in 12 hours. Guinness team is yet to verify the number and record it. The stern message he wants to give it to people is that he is changed man.

Earlier his government is accused of showing inclination towards Yadav community in several honour killing and rape cases. As UP general elections are scheduled in next year he wants to repack his image and go before people to seek votes. He is cleverly using this tree sampling plantation for that objective.

Of late, environmental programs are giving supplementary results apart from fulfilling environmental objective. Its win to win situation for both people and netas and of course for environment too.
