Allu Arjun takes up Organic Farming
Stylish Star Allu Arjun purchased a two-acre land in the outskirts of Hyderabad and the actor is all set to take up organic farming. The registration formalities are completed yesterday and Bunny is all excited to start organic farming in his new property. Bunny owns a couple of farmhouses in and around Hyderabad but this property is purchased completely for farming. Allu Arjun will spend time during his breaks in this farmland.
The top actor is shooting for Pushpa in the direction of Sukumar and the film hits the screens soon. Allu Arjun is keen to complete the shoot of Pushpa by November and he will move on to Icon directed by Sriram Venu. Allu Arjun is in talks with directors like Boyapati Srinu and AR Murugadoss for his upcoming movies. After completing Icon, Allu Arjun will focus on the second part of Pushpa.

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, the makers of Naa Peru Surya gave a unique meaning to the universal feeling of love. While love is always associated with tenderness, sensitivity and softness- there is also a warrior like feel present in it. Composers Vishal-Sekhar do exactly the same with a power packed number which also has tinges of folk rendition.
Sekhar himself sang this song Lover Also Fighter Also with his high voltage voice and Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics are quite funky and use conversational one liners. The chord progression is quite unique laden with peppy bass lines and trance rhythm. Interestingly, the song gives the fighting aspect of a lover when it comes to winning his partner’s heart!

Except Uttarandhra, the film had a decent hold of above 50% in Andhra areas while Ceded and Nizam were above 60% as it was a sort of partial holiday. Why Harish Shankar Squanders Golden chances?
Harish Shankar is one of the most talented directors in Tollywod. His skill was on display in ‘Mirapakay’ and ‘Gabbar Singh’. He made these two films with the burning desire of proving himself. Once he tasted stardom with ‘Gabbar Singh’, its all downhill for him.
Thanks to the success of ‘Gabbar Singh’, Harish grabbed the golden opportunity of directing NTR. A successful producer, Dil Raju and two top actresses – Samantha and Shruti Haasan were his collaborators on this highly anticipated film. And, the result is ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’, a horribly executed film. Harish completely squandered the golden opportunity given by NTR.
He had to wait for two long years for his next film. And, he could rope in only Sai Dharam Tej as his hero since no star hero was ready to work with him. With a disaster like RV haunting him, he worked hard and managed to make ‘Subramanyam for Sale’, which fortunately turned out to be an average fare.
The next golden chance came to Harish in the form of DJ, an immediate next film of Bunny after his career biggest commercial hit, ‘Sarrainodu’. Once again Dil Raju is in the producer’s chair. And, Harish has wasted this starry chance as well. DJ is getting panned by critics as well as rational audiences. Harish’s magic is seen only in the dialogues. The utter-routine story, weak second half and the farce climax hint at the over-confidence of the director.
Film goers wonder why this talented filmmaker keeps squandering these big opportunities.
Really challenging to make good commercial film: Harish Shankar
Filmmaker Harish Shankar, best known for delivering blockbuster Telugu films such as “Gabbar Singh” and “Subramanyam For Sale”, believes it’s really challenging to make a good commercial film.
“Writing and making commercial cinema is very challenging. You need to be sure of what will work with the masses and what doesn’t. Every second needs to be written in a way that it appeals to the audience,” Harish told IANS.
His latest film “Duvvada Jagannadham” aka “DJ”, starring Allu Arjun in the lead, is slated for release on Friday.
Harish said “DJ” pushed him as a writer and director within the commercial space.
“It changed the way how the template of commercial cinema is treated. In most commercial films, when we reach the climax we know the hero will emerge victorious. We know that it will end with an action bang. The climax of ‘DJ’ will surprise audiences,” he said.
“As a writer, I have treated the dialogues differently and have not relied solely on punch lines. Also, in commercial cinema, the focus is usually on the hero. In ‘DJ’, I have shifted focus on other key characters as well and they all have shined in their roles,” he added.
On working with Arjun, with whom he has teamed up for the first time, Harish said it was “inspiring”.
Arjun plays a Brahmin cook in the film, which also stars Pooja Hegde.
“His hard work is very inspiring and it in turn motivated me to push harder. After I told him about his character, he started interacting with Brahmin priests and cooks. We shot for 110 days and there was never any dip in his dedication level throughout the course of the shoot. On most days, even after we packed up, he’d sit and discuss scenes for the next day,” he said.

Dil Raju Leverages DJ Craze
Dil Raju is a master when it comes to film business and this unarguable fact has once again been proved in the case of DJ. The successful filmmaker is filling his pockets with at least Rs 20 crore profit with this stylish action entertainer.
Raju has earned around Rs 80 crore in the form of DJ’s pre-release business including satellite rights. The success of Bunny’s last film Sarrainodu, which collected around Rs 70 crore has helped in skyrocketing the business of DJ.
Believing it as an actin entertainer with paisa vasool commercial elements, distributors shelled big sums to grab the rights.
To completely leverage the craze of DJ, Raju sold the rights of a few areas to Geetha Arts and remaining to exorbitant sums, the best deals in Bunny’s career. The satellite and dubbing rights have also fetched record sums. Raju’s complete investment on DJ including the remunerations of cast and crew will be at max Rs 60 crore. So, he is sitting on a cool Rs 20 crore profit even before the film hits screens.
Allu Arjun becomes a sensation in Bollywood trade circles
Though he is yet to get a prominent release in North India, Stylish Star Allu Arjun has become the cynosure of Bollywood trade circles.
Few days back, it was speculated in the media circles that the Hindi rights of Allu Arjun’s forthcoming film Duvvada Jagannadam( DJ)were sold for a solid price. Now, it is learnt that many Bollywood production houses are keen on grabbing the satellite rights of the DJ actor’s next film which is titled Naa Peru Surya.
Reportedly, the producer of Naa Peru Surya is getting offers with a range of 22-24 Crores( including Telugu, Hindi and Tamil versions) from various production houses in Bollywood. Sources say that a couple of big names from Bollywood have approached the producer, but the deal is yet to be closed. Though the film is yet to commence the regular shoot, it is creating a lot of anticipation among the trade circles.
The makers are planning to rope in a few Bollywood actors and technicians for this film. Writer Vakkantham Vamshi will make his debut as director with this film.
