Life is really unpredictable. Chengala Venkata Rao, producer of Samara Simha Reddy movie, rose to fame after his debut movie Samarasimha Reddy became industry hit. His life has many ups and downs. Whoever saw his latest position were appalled. For uninitiated – he is currently imprisoned and is in jail.
Chengala Venkat Rao debuted with Samarasimha Reddy and it became industry hit but his next film ‘Narasimhudu ’ with NTR created lot of troubles for him. He attempted to kill himself by jumping into Hussain Sagar just before release of this film because of financial issues in 2015. But he was rescued by police and industry people helped him come out of issues . Later, he served as TDP MLA from 1999 to 2009. He represented Payakaraopet Assembly Constituency.He resigned to TDP to join YSRCP in 2012.
During his tenure as MLA, he was involved in murder case and court convicted him in the murder case and he was sentenced to life term imprisonment by the court. He is treated by authorities as any other prisoner in jail and recently district collector went to jail on some other work and was surprised to see him in such condition.
